Hi, a friend has a 70's P bass, maple fretboard needs a refinish? The lacquer has worn through on fretboard in patches. Wondered what kind of refinish best and who could do it , what probable cost would be ? Lives in Hampshire. Cheers for any help.

[attachment=135536:IMG_00071.JPG] M i Japan, active so believe an SB 310. MiJ Gotoh tuners and bridge. Translucent red, 3 pce. body. Few surface scratches on lower bout, not through to paint. Neck unmarked, no fret wear, frets polished and board oiled. With Hiscox hard case, Liteflyte.

Carved top, all maple, Di Marzio pickups, 2 coil split switches, neck and frets excellent, aside from surface scratches on front, exc. cond., powerful sound, with original hardcase, looking for £250.....can't get photos to download...file too big ?
