  1. My thoughts exactly...my understanding is 30mph or above before an air bag is deployed. It also locked up the rear seat belt tensioners! I was taking my time through the lanes near to where i live, it came out on me instantly as i rounded a bend and was up and gone before i realized what had happened. Could of obviously been worse if i was going any faster or if there had been any other oncoming traffic. Rather a surreal moment seeing airbags hurtling toward your face! I have a friend who is the head mechanic at a local Saab dealer who will make some noises for me. I don't hold much hope though as its 2004 Aero out of warranty and serviced by independent garages. Been there before with dealers and so on, soulless creatures with black hearts! Anyone want to buy a bass?!?!
  2. Cheers Matt, more shocked at the airbags deploying at such a low speed, bloody thing must of hit it right on the bullseye!!
  3. Plummeting into obscurity bump
  4. Pmsl... How true! If their not jumping all over my car they try and kill me when I'm out on my mountain bike! Plus they scare my cat when he goes for a poo in the woods. :-)
  5. Hi all, It with great sorrow and heavy heart that i have to list this beastie.. Due to the worlds slowest collision (8mph) with a deer last night (which deployed the passenger and drivers side airbag of my car.) has left me with a hefty repair bill! Thus my offering of one of my beloved Ray's.... So without further a do... It's a 2009/2010, four string 3EQ HS MM, Black, black, maple. The bass itself is in fantastic condition, no dings no dents no scratches very clean! All electronics are good no issues.... No issues with neck, bass plays great and sounds huge. Varying sounds can be achieved when introducing the single coil pup. Comes with original MM hardcase, cleaning cloth and allen keys, oh, and a bag of silicon. Looking for £850 ovno shipped....Uk only please. Collection form Brereton in Staffordshire if so desired, or will meet within a reasonable distance. Will post daylight pics of bass tomorrow. 12. Hi all, Purchased this beastie from Phsycoandy several days ago. (Andy, i hope you don't mind me using your original post?!) As you will observe this fella has took a beating, i have since cleaned the fret board and given it a good dose of Dr Stringfellow Lem-oil which has brought it up lovely. I have lightly rubbed down the hand painted areas to reveal the wood, ( i just thought it looked better like that lol.) Restrung with a set of used stainless strings which still give plenty of punch and growl. All electronics are fully functional no issues. As Andy states, this would make a great relic project or just left as is.. My only reason as to why i have relisted this is due to the fact that i just ain't a jazz man! Only looking for a return on original purchase, £165 shipped or can collect/try out from Brereton in Staffordshire. 13. What's the string spacing on this?
  14. Purchased one of these last week off fellow BC member elcastillian, great basses and yes not many produced, production ran from 1999 to 2002. Possible collectors in years to come....
  15. Hi all, This was my sons back up bass which i modified with my own fair hand. Fitted with an EMG P pup and Mitey mite maple neck (aged laquer finish) also finished off with a 70's F****r decal, oh, and tort scratchplate. VGC only a couple of small dings here and there. The playability is fantastic, very smooth with lovely low action,i must admit it plays as good as my USA Fender hotrod and 89 Stingray. The sound is classic P bass but with a bite, especially when you dig in!! (not everyone's taste i know.) Original rosewood neck also supplied if required. This would defiantly make a great back up bass or first choice instrument for an intermidate player. Looking to get back the cost of mods more than anything else..so how does £200 ovno sound??.(includes shipping) No case but will come bound in gigbag and quitar cardboard box. Payment via Paypal *gift* payment or bank transfer...cash on collection also welcome from Brereton in Staffordshire. UK only please.
