  1. Due to the reverese PU they sound different than any 424/414/1024/2024 .. every time I play one of these basses I do notice that they do more deep bass but I am that used to the sound of the 1000MA that it is to much for me and I go back to the reverse bass.
  2. They go from 250 - 300 Euros over here. This one came with a brand new case that I even don't need. All my cases are stored in a room and I just don't need them. I always use thick bags.
  3. Mh.... they are often cheaper than a BB425. So I can't agree 😉 Even less because my BB1000MA is my main axe since ..18 years (?) !
  4. Two BBs is greedy? 😛
  5. Mh... I don't care if it is looking like a Yamaha classic or not 🙂 I always loved the matt green of the BB3000MA..... and a really yellow taxi / vintage white and gold hardware does look good too. Did a sound check, the toggle is set to both pus. And without knowing what bass I play I would not be able to tell which one is playing. No difference at all....
  6. Exactly the two colours I am thinking on! Switching to gold hardware will be another 200 Euros.
  7. Just home from picking up my second BB1000ma. Toggle switch non functional. Therefore reasonable in price. Lucky day! Bought it to refinish it completely. Just can't decide the colour...
  8. Don't you have at least one big bundle of this in all sizes???
  9. Yes, the dimensions should be identical !(12024/2024)
  10. It sounded not as good as with the org. neck but looked ok 🙂
  11. And maple necks with inlays. And no black headstocks.
  12. Because I love my 1000ma most I put new strings on it to play it again. Totally different instrument again 😄
  13. Sick at home... used the time to compare my BBs . All basses played over the 25watts Hartke combo and with the same preamp sound. A little unfair...only the 414 and 614 have fresh strings..the difference is obvious.. 1000MA and 3000MA have old(!) strings. Both pickups, eq 100% . BB614 no boost, everything below zero-position. Fingerstyle. Mobile in front of combo on the floor. Sick virus timing 😛 Headphones recommended !!
  14. I like the light stuff of that bass but never was into the design 😞
  15. A Samsung S9, nothing fancy
  16. This is some seconds of the 614. Played through a 25 watts Hartke combo, mobile phone recording lying on the floor in front of the amp, fingerstyle. BB614 use headphone
  17. The BB passive sound is just perfect for me! For my ears, there is a difference between an eq section in the bass and on my amp. Can't say why . Maybe it is because a changed setting on the amp has to match the other settings on it. And it is way easier to change things directly on the bass while playing instead of changing settings while standing 2 cm away from the speakers. My active bass has active EMG humbuckers and only a treble blend like a passive bass. It sounds kind of dead when played solo without band. But with band it just moves some serious air....
  18. Well I love the passive tone of the BBs! But within the band the active basses cut through better - for my ears.
  19. I only use maybe two very similar sittings of the possible ones but once I got "my tone" it sounded cool for me at the rehearsal yesterday.
  20. I have to say I, I like the active circuit. New experience and I declare it usefull 😛
  21. The bolt on BBs
  22. You know what I mean 😉
  23. Jam session today ...only a small combo but it rocked
  24. So now it's ready. Gold speed domes fitted. Put 40-95 strings on it. Great tone I can tell!
  25. That's because I am even older than that bass and a fan of the org. BB - no Attitude comes close to Billy's pink BB 😉 And I know not many will share this opinion !
