… I’d get a used Cioks Expander 4 and use a 1 Spot 9V PSU. I think it’d give it enough power and has the added benefit of being able to be run off USB C if needed. Make sure it’s version 1.1 onwards though. https://cioks.com/power-supplies/future-power-generation/cioks-4-expander/

… I prefer dual lock over Velcro tbh. Dual lock comes in 3 different strengths (and a variety of those strengths for different substrates). The most secure combo is 250 stem into 400 stem. They don’t recommend going 400/400 as it’s too hard to get off (and I found the mushroom heads start falling off as so much force is required to shift them lol). It is strong stuff and gives around 6mm standoff beftween the pedal bottom and board for neat cable routing etc. One of the downsides is if you change your board often you need to replace the board segments more often. You can get away with using pieces again, but not always. The adhesive is normally acrylic and leaves no residue to speak off also. The main downside is cost though.

I love compression for the tone shaping benefits, if I had to have only one pedal it’d be a compressor (and a tuner 😁).

Hey all, I recently bought a Keeley Bassist Limiting Amplifier from Martin. It took me a few days to test it, and unfortunately there was an issue with it (some LED audio distortion when going from above to below the threshold). I searched on here to see if I could shed any light on this and found a thread describing the issue. I forwarded this onto Martin and asked if I could return it for a refund, he no quibble refunded me the money which I am very grateful to him for. He also said I could keep the unit if wanted, I double checked this and he was still happy for me to do so 👍. So all in, a bit of a disappointment with the pedal, however a good conclusion to the episode from a very generous and kind hearted BCer. Thank you.
