  1. … another one incoming 👍🏻
  2. + 1 for the Evidence Audio SiS cables. I use Dual Lock on my boards, that along with the SiS cables, makes for a very neat setup. The Dual Lock leaves a 6mm gap between the board and pedal underside (so cables can fit underneath easily for routing. I’ve also got some EBS flat patch cables and they are decent and good value. Their heads are also very small so pedals can get closer to each other if needed.
  3. … the Octamizer can go from very subby to pretty synth and all in between. Nice to have a tone for the dry mix as well. The MXR Bass Octave Deluxe isn’t as extreme as the Octamizer I think, but has the nice variants between the girth and growl settings. Neither are OC2 clones, they do their own thing (but well). The Vintage Bass Octave is a clone of Janek Gwizdala’s early OC2 Octaver (if you didn’t already know) so is a great OC2 clone with the addition of more consistent volume and the mid boost (that is only on the dry signal). Really depends on what you’re after Octave pedal wise I suppose.
  4. Hey all, I’ve just bought a comp off Aaron. Great comms, nice dialogue and his missus posted it to make sure it got to me asap. Thank you to both and would happily deal with again. Peace.
  5. Hey all, I bought a comp of Rob. Good price, well packaged and good communication. Thank you and would happily deal with again. Cheers.
  6. it’s endless! I’ve currently got 1 board built, but had 12 until recently (all built!). So all boards and pedals back in their boxes (if they have one that is) and planning to build 4 in total. We’ll see how long that lasts ha ha!!
  7. …. please share the link Luke!
  8. … which one did you get (set of valves)?
  9. … interested in any trades at all?
  10. Now that is a nice board 😎
  11. Yeah, the Black Dragon is a combination between an overdrive/distortion etc. You can get a bit of hair to the sound but it is a bit harsher than I personally go for. My guitarist mate tried it with a Tele and it sounded ace!
  12. How do you find the Sfx Red Dragon? I’ve a Black Dragon and wondered how they compared?
  13. … what’s the serial number on this one please Dee-bass?
  14. I’ve got loads of pedals and boards, but am finding myself definitely going down the route of what I’d say you have, a ‘tone board’. Not really switching effects during a gig, just a great catch all tone for giving a great sound. I’m making one for fretted and fretless, then having a home board that can cater for both. Well that’s the plan anyhow! Obviously for some gigs/styles of music you need all the bells and whistles, but I don’t really play any of that stuff lol!
  15. … well to add to this I’ve downsized my 12 built boards (😳😆) to just one that consists of a TU3 - Alma Comp - Spark Booster - JDi all on a Nano. Wanted to go back to basics for a bit and actually improve my playing, rather than spend time focused on pedals and related gear!! It’s all fun etc but think I was starting to get a bit overwhelmed by it all! Now the funny thing is I’m seriously considering getting another Zoia to simplify (or go down an even bigger black hole 🕳️) it all!!
  16. ... I've seen a few YT vids where the order is comp - octave - fuzz/dirt - modulation. That seems to work for me when I have a synth bass inclination.
  17. … I’m having that battle in my head at the moment regarding app support! In 5 years time will be digital stuff still be supported?? My analogue stuff will stiff work as good as it ever will long after I’m gone though lol!!
  18. … gotta love the Spectracomp 🎶
  19. Anytune is an app with pitch shifting capabilities, but you need to own the song to upload it into the app. It runs on iOS well.
  20. Yup, I'd be up for it if I'm free.
  21. … I bought a Fender Micro DI that looks to be made in the same factory as try HB one, great for what it is and I never had any complaints about the DI sound when I used it!
