  1. … probably the Lusithand Alma Mk II comp I bought from Nuno direct when on sale. However the most pleasantly surprising one was the Digitech Bass Squeeze. Not a lot of love for them on the reviews but I quite actually like it! Honourable mention goes to the Walrus Audio Mira comp though 😎.
  2. Recently bought a Mooer ML6 pedal loop switcher from Brian for a very reasonable price posted. Item nearly as new and packaged very nicely. Thank you and hope you have a very happy retirement!
  3. The Spectracomp is one of my favourite comps, if I didn’t already have 3 of them I’d want this one haha 😝. GLWTS and hope you have a happy retirement from playing, there is always lots more listening to do 👍🏻
  4. Thank you, just downloaded 'A Remark You Made', much appreciated and I'll enjoy going through that 👍
  5. … can the pickup under the cover be pushed up so the pole pieces are flush or stick out a bit? Normally there is a piece of foam or springs under the pickup in the body cavity that do this when installed IIRC.
  6. Hey all, If you like your jazz/Fusion sort of vibes check out Nim Sadot. He’s got a bunch of deals on his albums via Bandcamp using the code Friday. Ends midnight tonight. https://nimsadot.bandcamp.com/merch I’m just a fan boi of his stuff, so passing on the deals when I get them. Peace.

  7. The Aguilar 925 Preamp is boost only, sounds nice but I prefer the Sadowsky SBP 2 preamp as it also has a volume control (so you can switch between having the preamp on/off with no volume change. The Aguilar DB 599 is okay for a small footprint comp. One thing I’ve noticed is that at full compression the gain control doesn’t boost the volume back up to unity gain. With the gain on full, at least with my setup, unity is reached with the comp at around 2 O’clock. Any more comp results in a volume drop. I have loads of compressors, and even though I’m an Analouge fan at heart, the TC Electronic Spectracomp is a firm favourite of mine.. It can be as simple or complex as you want (it has one knob, can use Toneprints and you can edit using a computer if you so desire).
  8. Now even less at Thomann, £235!!
  9. … what is your favourite one Si?
  10. Yup, it’s a normal 9V centre negative source that is required IIRC.
  11. Hey all, Just bought a tuner off Nic, it came well packaged, there was great comms and the price was good. I would happily deal with again, thanks. Peace, Jim.
  12. Hey all, Just bought a pedalboard from Ian. Great comms, well packaged and a great price. Thank you again and would happily deal with in the future. Peace, Jim.
  13. Rob, I’ve got a BF Big Baby 2 and it’s surprisingly loud!
  14. … IIRC the necks without a volute have replaceable truss rods, the ones with a volute need the board to come off. I think it was from around ‘96 they started to have volutes on their necks?
  15. Just bought a Xotic Effects Bass RC Booster off Dave. All good and would happily deal with again. Thank you 👍🏻.
  16. Hey all, just sold Rich a pedalboard. All good, no hassle and would happily deal with again. Great BCer.
