Hey all, I have just bought a MXR Deep Phase pedal from Paul, good price, packaging and communication. The pedal is as new and is just what I'm after so very pleased. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. Thanks. Peace.

.. much lower temps involved with soldering. Probably more similar to brazing than welding. I’ll do some internet research at some point, cheers 👍🏼

… how does the lead free/vs lead solder interact with the components then? At the school I work at we only use lead free (for obvious reasons).

... on another note, has anybody had any experience of replacing SMT stuff? I've heard it's pretty hard, not that I need to though, just wondering how it's done.

Luke, all I can say is 'Sarah and Duck' , I love it 💕

Hey all, Bought a TC Electronic Spark Booster from Stuart, keen price and great comms. Really well packaged (like I would be happy to have done 😁) and the pedal is literally as new. Great BCer and wouldn’t hesitate at all to deal with again. Peace.

Love the Union LAB, I’ve just got a couple of Lutishand Alma Mk 1 units (early and late versions) and I love how optical compressors sound. May put one on a church board of mine, an Empress bass compressor is on there though so they might have to take turns lol 😝

… bought a very well priced Lutishand Alma Mk 1 (later version) from Paddy. A wonderful compressor at a great price. Well packaged and quick delivery. Would happily deal with again and as usual nice to have a good chat about gear and music in the process 👍🏼. Peace.

… the Stomp doesn’t have a dedicated DI out, I think if you get a converter (TS to XLR) it could work but don’t quote me lol. It would do the sounds you’re after (and a lot more if ever needed). There are other pedals now that may do what you’re after also. Or go for a mini pedal setup (tuner, SVT clone, dirt and micro DI) and you’d also have a small set up. However it may cost you the same as a Stomp lol!

I’m surprised no-one has commented on the Aguilar Filter Twin. There is one of the new ones on the F/S thread for £130 (only been taken out of the box!). I’ve got an older version and am still tempted lol! … and a pic of 3 in a row lol on the F/S section 😎

Hey all, Mike popped over to check out a Zoot Funkmeister 5 T-Bird. He went for it and there was no messing about. Had the cash and even over paid a small amount (I owe him a drink next time lol). Great BC’er and a very handy player 👍🏼. Peace.

‘LMB-3: Clean sounding compressor/Limiter, good but you need to look out as some settings can make it sound bad (need to leave the enhance down, and don't put the threshold and ratio too high unless you want clipping). I'd be happy to keep it but I'll compare with a BC-1X at some point.’ I’ve got the LMB-3 and it’s fairly utility, pretty subtle colouration if any. However I did try a BC-1X and I really liked the way it shaped the tone. As I’m going all Analouge Man style I wouldn’t personally get one, but it did sound great (and I preferred it over the LMB-3 if push came to shove).

Now asking £575 collected Hey all, I'm putting out a feeler for interest for my Zoot Funkmesiter 5 T-Bird Passive I bought on here a while back, in two minds at the mo though. I think I got an outstanding bang for your buck when I bought it so I'd be passing that on (albeit considering fuel costs collecting and a new set of strings added). The bass was originally made and owned by Mike Walsh (of Zoot Bass and Purple Chilli fame) I understand, then did the rounds and bought by a member on here, then sold again, then bought back again and sent back to Mike to refurbish into what it is now. Please see the thread below for full details: I bought it via this thread: ... the hardware alone would add up to more than £500 (x5 Hipshot USA lollipop tuners, Hipshot USA bridge and custom Gemini splitable T-Bird pickups). For more details please see the original F/S thread. I'd be selling to recoup some £ spent on pedals recently so in no rush really. Also the spacing on the Hipshot bridge is 17.5 mm centre to centre (measured and checked spec online), my other two basses are Warwick Broadnecks that have, err, slightly wider spacing. I find it easy to go from the two Wicks to the Zoot, but a bit odd for me to go from the Zoot to the wicks tbh. I also don't need 3 basses 😄. It's in good cosmetic condition, a few blemishes and swirls in the finish and a couple of slightly high frets on the G string, but I just put some new Ernie Ball flats on and this seems to have mostly dealt with that somehow lol. Also comes with a set of Schaller strap locks and a nearly new (but a 2nd from factory) Hiscox Zoot branded hardcase. It would also be collection only from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire as I'd want any prospective buyer to play it first. Peace.

Best compact analog DELAY pedal with amazing reverse
jimbobothy replied to BassBeast's topic in Effects
… will you be able to get an analogue delay with reverse that isn’t digital? As far as analogue delays I’ve got a few MXR Carbon Copy delays that I like. I also recently got the Dr. J Shadow Echo, and if you didn’t tell me it was a less expensive pedal it’d be hard to realise, it great.
