[/quote] Just measured it: The string spacing can be adjustet between the extremes of 16.7mm and 18.3mm. I just like the wide spacing, so that's why it's at the widest setting right now.

    they were not only possibly connected, but SKC (who have the bogart model) made the necks for the early clovers. maybe you heard of jens ritter basses ? there were a few early models that had carbon necks, and those were made by SKC, too.

    i'm not sure if kai eckhart used bogarts. i know that he used schack basses, which were built with carbon parts from SKC, who make the bogart bass. this one really is a rare find, and it's in a superb condition.

    hey folks. let's play a little game. there are 3 basses, and I recorded 3 sound clips. one has JJ pickups, one has PJ pickups, and one has a single MM-humbucker. now the first question is, which clip was recorded with which PU configuration. later, I'll post a short list of possible basses, and you can try to find out which basses I used. here are the sound clips.     thanks for the advice. actually, i just play like that when sitting, and even then, not all the time. never had pain or anything like that. but thanks again. one can never be too careful when it comes to tendon problems right ?

    Thanks, BASIC5. Yes, this is made by Gibson. Which doesn't mean it isn't a high quality bass. The pre-Gibson Tobias basses sell for way more than 1800 euros...

    thanks silverfoxnik, you're right about the tone... but not only that, but it feels very comfortable and well balanced. and with only about 3.9 kg of weight, thats quite a lightweight for all the wenge and zebrano that is in there.

    Hey folks. I'm trying to find a few nice bass playalong tracks. I don't mean certain songs, but more like some sort of Reggae song, some Funk stuff, Jazz, Rock, Metal and so on. Something to jam along with. Is there a collection of that somewhere ? Now, what's interesting too: Maybe there are some playalongs, which I record some bass lines to, and then post them when I am about to sell a bass. I think there is another thing going on because of the copy rights, when money is made ?
