Are you far from the depot mate? not really sure of the distance between surrey and crawley..
it would drive me mad knowing it was just sat there. i had a simialr situaion with a shuker in the summer, when the delivery man failed to find my house on 2 occasions..
theres a review in the reviews section i think? someone on here had one of the six strings.. i think he re-finished the neck, but was overall quite impressed
Neo cab with 24.5kg's???? Not so sure if you can call it lightweight..
my 4x10 is 28kgs.. i consider that lightweight after having 50kg 4x10's
oh lordy.. the can of worms has been opened..
check out some of the pinned topics in the amps and cabs section.. all this has been answered by people far cleverer than me
Paul Turner has it for me. Very funky and upbeat gig. Don't desperately like JK but at least the music has drive.
I'm sorry but I find all the Nathan East / Will Lee etc etc sterilized slap playing session players absolutely mind numbingly dull particularly as 99% of the time they're playing to 40 something yanks in comfy pullovers. I'm sure they're incredibly talented but it all just sounds like bad elevator music to me.
Have seen nathan east on the toto and eric clapton gig, and his performance is great, he just supports the band really well and provides some great backing vox too! haven't seen him slap the bass on either gig
yeah, i said i thought it was naughty, but a great idea nonetheless.. most business ideas are aren't they? someone always has to loose out i guess..
i don't think it will cost markbass a lot anyway to do, as the dealers have to pay a small fee for the amp... which probably covers the cost of manufacture.
BTW James, where's your shop mate, I'm up in that part of the World next week?
C
We are in walsall mate, on stafford street just outside the town right by the new tesco
Am I wrong for liking that way more than the standard LMIII fascia?
i like it too kinda like the nurse vibe lol!
Hmm. Good idea - but could work against them perception wise. Surely you want to make your buying public believe that their Mark Bass heads are reliable...? Does this give the right message?
its not just for markbass customers, anyone with a broken down head can try it... or so i'm told.. i think its a bit naughty, trying to snare customers when they are at their most angry with their current rig
bump for added pic so you can check out the medical vibe..
i had a chat with fellow mark bass stockist mr. bass direct earlier, and he confirmed that the amp is for when a customer comes in with a broken amp, we can lend them the courtesy head to get them out of trouble, whilst also trying to convince them markbass is whats best for them...
It's for mark bass stockists, so approach your local one I guess... I'm not really sure what the policy is, because we are pretty certain that if we start lending it out it's gonna get nicked... Hopefully they will send us some policy papers through..
I think I meant best value/low weight/tone ratio...eg you cant beat the LM2/3 for a nice warm, clean and easy to use amp, esp for the price
I just wish Markbass has the customer service levels of Genz Benz.
Well this scheme must be a step in the right direction...
So markbass have sent us this...
It's a markbass little mark 3 that we can lend out to people to convince them to buy a markbass head, or help someone out whoes amp has broken down... And it looks like an ambulance! Check it out!
Will post a pic a bit later
pic now added!
