2. Yeah, after fighting all afternoon with imovie i got to a point where i just couldn't be bothered with any more tidying, flipping, trimming editing and just wanted to forget about it all
3. Nice one Dood, was just watching your vids, i think the Shuker link means our vids appear in a lot of the same selections now. Loving the riftastic tappyness mate! Yeah i emailed Jon the link, hopefully the master will approve lol

6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKpPAQgiL34 - cant get it to embed sorry Best Enjoyed with headphones, because the fretless goes reallll deep
7. check out a washburn bb-15, active 5 string, 34 inch scale, basically its a rip off of a yamaha rbx.. but only 249 qui new.. a secondhand one would sort you out, cuz at that money you get to see what works for you. The spacing is pretty narrow indeed. 8.
It was a more general comment, but clearly it worked in another sense I was not aware of Apologies if I've offended you in any way :-)
no not at all i understand now lol... but i think it shows that there is enormous difference in a good arrangement and a good performance, and the importance in getting both right lol
9.
My sides have split from laughing my a**e off :-)
lol, there was no sarcasm there, i meant if the bass was in tune, and the levels all correct, and the performers were all comfortable, there was great arrangement going on with the samples and other interesting parts that aren't on the record... Being a bit of an optimist i do like to see the good in things!
10. ouch!!!! such a shame, i thought the arrangement of Crazy sounded excellent.. would love to hear it properly!
11. ive recorded with gav too at magic garden... was when we had all the snow last winter, so spent most of the time under blankets in the control room trying to get the feeling back in my toes! Was good though, and enjoyed watching Gav fall asleep mid take and wake up shortly before the end lol.... where you from in west mids dude?
12.
Why do you always make a perfectly well laid out post giving good reasons for your arguement then make yourself look a tit by dissing the P-Bass Chris? "Boring basses continue to sell to ill informed customers?" I know for a fact every single cut owner I know also happily owns at least one example of what you always call boring MM,P & J etc so why are those people ill informed? Doddy has an amazing playing singlecut as he posted earlier and beleive me the guys playing aint too shabby yet his real love is what you call boring basses as far as I can tell. I know other top class single cut players that fit that description too in fact JMT may feel in a similar position too? I could finish like you do Chris by rubbishing your choice of horid 80's tat but that would make the rest of my post look silly
Thats a great point pete. I love most basses lol, thats why i have a few. For me its not about what bass is right for which gig or sound or whatever, i just love them all. I accept, my p bass has a couple of sounds and i cant get the action as low as i want it.. but misinformed? not really, i knew that when i bought it lol! But it looks cool, and sounds like a P. Boring? no, its a bass! it makes deep noises that sounds ace and gets us chicks To sum up. Basses are good, we love them because we can either enjoy playing them, or enjoy arguing about them on here! anyone doing anything nice for fathers day?
13.
Fixed. Works both ways doesn't it?
14.
You could also ask why those who use single cuts just can't accept some people don't like them and wonder why they feel a need to defend them. Like 7 strings or Bongo's. There is no place on earth you are safe from judgement, just as you judged me in your post. What you can do is be confident in your choice and then not have the need to defend it against other opinions.
My point was that its ok to not like them, everyone is entitled to an opinion.. but i just feel that when it comes to single cuts... the dislike often comes out stronger than in other threads about disliking a certain design.. Maybe thats because they are sooo different to other bass shapes, so the dislike is proportional to the wierdness of them lol.
15.
I agree that they are not in every pub gig, but they seem to be an option with all of the luthiers now, more so than in the past, suggesting that more and more people are asking for them. Reading Bass mags, there seems to be an increase in players using them, such as Damian Erskine, Dave Swift, Matt Garrison etc. edit: obviously the attachment is a crap mockup done by me on a saturday night - God, I miss gigging!
you wanna be careful with that mock up.. the things fender are bringing out now... i could be in production next week!
16. Cant people just accept that its a different shape that some people just dig? The alone in a bedroom with a looper comment made me chuckle.. because thats exactly what i do.. with a Singlecut.. But why should a sit on my own thudding away on the E string when i do that in various bands almost every night of the week? Theres been so many anti soloing/slapping/singlecutsoloslapping vibes on here recently.. and now it seems we are no longer safe from judgement in our own bedrooms! My honest answer is that my singlecut bass is very comfortable, very resonant, and very very stable in the old neck department. It plays like a dream on a strap or sat down. Jon Shuker has done a really good job with it. But then again, these are all qualities i have found in other basses (from p's to J's to Sei's blah blah) but right now, i'm digging the singlecut, so i'm going to defend it.. the same way i would defend a silly haircut that i thought was top.
17. i kniw... but wouldnt i have to get the logo scraped off, then a new one put on?
18. I have the sd1200 and 2 x 410's, i recently bought a secondhand 2x10, and haven't used the 4x10's since lol! i'd love to hear a rig made up of two of the traveller 2x10's
19. i deleted 70 odd images sorry thought i was on top of it
20. Yeah man the 33" is great, when i've got the cash and patience i'll get my own 33" put together... but until then i'm gonna enjoy yours my friend!
21. i've got number 3 of these love it, simply amazing. If i had the need i'd buy this as a spare, thats how good they are. thinking of buying a brand new LM3? buy one of these instead, and have some headroom!
