5.
james is a real honest guy, has loads of real nice gear and can play real good too, Looks after his gear too! Bump for a GREAT BLOKE Regards Mark
Lol Mark... Great bloke, yeah that's true hha, but I'm not sure the "looks after his gear part is deserved on a thread for a bass I almost ruined through carelessness lol! Good to hear from you chap
6. Cromer this is an old thread, sorry this bass got sold, not through basschat which I guess is why I forgot to clean this thread up. Sorry:)
7. There's no harm in trying them all along the way is there
8.
Yeah I know, mate. But I just spent a LOT of money on the car, and I promised myself long ago, no new money on the instruments.
Haha, how many have us said that! At least you are safe in the knowledge that if you do want to buy a Warwick, the Market is certainly in your favour right now! (at least for a used one)
9. Nigel If I could at all help you on this difficult journey you are undertaking, I would... Why not keep the fender, and save up for a Warwick, an just enjoy both
10. Good luck to him:p
11. Shocked this hasn't gone.. It's a good job I'm in the canaries otherwise I'd be making the 5 minute car journey down o just have a look on the off chance lol!
12. Haha, it's a Hercules triple stand, great piece of kit!
13. The guy who runs bass gear isna pretty active member on here, drop him a PM? If you search "satinline" in this forum you'll find him as he was the op in a thread about these basses. I've had three shukers and they've all been great, I'm sure Jon must be happy with them to put his name on!
14.
Having spent hours myself researching heads and cabs I'd go with what Bill says, he does afterall make his living out of this area. If I remember correctly Bill would suggest stacking the 2x10's on top each other rather than side by side to give better dispersion. As an aside, has the suggested min head gone up on BC recently? When I first joined the forum, and as Bill has suggested an adequate amp was 300w. It now seems to be 500w. Is there a reason for this?
Maybe that's down to many 500w amps being digital and providing the same grunt as a "good old" 300 watter
15. Cheers dude I'm looking at the photoes and thinking that I wouldn't be too upset if this didn't go Just ashame it's not gonna played much
16. Just to clarify, its a good kind of pain
17. These are absolute monsters, I use one with 2x 4x10's... Pain

19. Bump! More trade offers, all tempting and exciting!
20. Oi eude! Get my bass off your avatar! Haha only kidding lol, cheers for that deal, that bass is one in a million!
21. Great answer, thanks for that. I did think about sending it back to Jon, was just a bit worried it may get burried in his workload lol!
22. Just read the title, if you can find the deposit for the shuker (around 40%) then the waiting game could certainly work for you, as by the time you've saved it should be ready! Although, this is certainly one to look at while your still thinking... http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=126803&st
23.
Currently GAS'ing for a 6 string bass and I've got a shortlist, budget around 2k (which I don't have) and I'm not going to be making a move for a long time however: Bongo 6 (In red or blue) Shuker 6 (Horn or Uberhorn) Dingwall AfterBurner I in probably whalepoolburst What would be your choice? Why? Any other selections to keep this GAS interesting?
Bongo 6's sound incredible.. But to me, they just feel enormous! I have a Sumer 6, and it's great! But the you do need to factor in the agonising wait and build time! I did like the Dingwall 6 I tried, but again, with the long scale on the b, it felt big. If you like single cuts, check out the wood n tronics 6er at bass direct! Very nice.
24. I've considered blocking the page for my own good... Maybe once my wood n tronics has sold
25. Hey all I'm wondering if anybody knows where I can find somebody who makes the wooden pickup covers? I realise this normally is something manufacturers do, but I'd like one for my shucker single cut. Do they normally get used in place of the normal plastic surrounds? Or do they go over the whole pickup? Because I'd like a ramp on the bass too, I was wondering if someone could make me something that went over both pickups in like a single slab... Any ideas?
