  1. It’s strange. I thought they had alder bodies too, but the advert said Ash. Probs just a typo. only issue now is that a couple of the saddle screws don’t want to budge and they have pretty shallow and narrow slots. Recon I’ll have to try a penetrating oil if some sort…anyone any recommendations?
  2. Yeah, I would do. I wish I had more money to spend. There are some beautiful basses and guitars on there. Based in Taunton. Was shipped next day with parcelforce and seemed to have been very well looked after in transit. No scrapes or bashes on the box.
  3. Thanks. I’ve cleaned up with contact cleaner and a wee rub. Seems better now. I think this bass has been sitting gathering oxides and dust in someone’s lift for a few years as even the strings seem to be covered in a fine layer of yuck. Have cleaned those up too until new strings arrive today. Out of interest, what does the kiogon wiring loom do?
  4. Hi. Here is my new (oldish) Pbass that I bought from gas station guitars. Love the colour and it’s pretty light so that’s good too. Good points: - colour is great, looks better in real life than the pictures. - sounds cracking. Just like a Pbass! - - neck fits my muckle hands better than the Jazz I sold to find this. Not so good points: - Had to give it a good clean as it was covered in a fine film of aged dust/grime/dirt - Input jack was intermittent on first plug in. Have removed the pickguard and cleaned up the jack and pots with contact cleaner. Much better now. Also adjusted the contact of the inout jack. - strings are covered in the same grime and have been loaded in to the tuners with only half to one turn, new strings incoming. - relief was a tad much so have adjusted that, good to know the truss rod works though. - saddles are flippin high so action is way more than I like. I’ll drop those later once I get ten minutes. all in all, happy with the bass. More care could have been taken with prep before shipping. It’s in ace condition, although they were a pleasure to deal with in terms of money and communication. The photos show that colour has faded a bit with time, as it’s more vibrant under the picknguard. if anyone knows anything about the pots, body wood and neck stamp please do share.
  5. Big Wreck. Anything by Big Wreck at the moment😀
  6. Thanks. I’ll do my best. I’ll do a NBD post when it arrives.
  7. Yeah, but still a steal. Great to sit in a rehearsal room somewhere.
  8. And whoever priced this has made a mistake!!! £129!! https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/ashdown-rm-610t-evo-bass-cabinet
  9. Another deal from the email shot. Lightweight cab anyone. Less than half price. https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/darkglass-electronics-d112n-lightweight-112-bass-cabinet
  10. No idea if the original price is realistic. But over £1000 off seems like a good thing for someone. Stingray BFR Kingpin https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/music-man-bfr-stingray-special-hh-kingpin-bass
  11. Will find out how it is v soon. NBD incoming tomorrow I believe.
  12. That looks gorgeous. What’s the history of the brand? ….. never heard of them before.
  13. This headstock shape is so much more pleasing on the eye than the usual G&L one. Love the colour too.
  14. Do all of the Classic Active have narrower neck with at the nut?
  15. It is a CIJ R-Serial from 2004-2005. It has an Ash body, maple neck and medium/dark rosewood fingerboard.
  16. Hiya. I’m thinking about buying an early 2000s version of this. Don’t have much info other than I like the colour and it seems in good condition by the pictures. Is there anything in particular to note on these and to look out for. Anyone here have one and can share their experience? thanks all
  17. I think that’s ok considering the analogue spec and the digital stuff. The new walrus audio doesn’t do half as much and it about the same.
  18. Looks like 399 USD. So probably the same in GBP!!
  19. It’s got my attention for a one stop recording, rehearsal, gig, in the loop, four cable, etc… option. I wonder what the uk price will be?
  20. This just popped in to my inbox….liking the spec…. https://www.two-notes.com/en/revolt-bass/
  21. Thanks. I’ll give that a try.
  22. Hiya. I’m using Torpedo Wall of Sound in Cubase LE 10. Usually when I’m recording Bass (amp is di in to my Audient interface) I get latency that means I’m struggling to record in time. would buying an ir loader pedal before my interface help reduce latency and solve all of my worldly problems?
  23. What are your thoughts on this being legit? American Prof 2. Dark Night on Reverb for £715. Says it’s brand new. Even with import duties it’s a great price.
  24. I wonder if they’ll do these gigs with a replacement (maybe with someone they know like Rufus Taylor) and then call it quits. I can’t imagine the foos without him.
