Emailed bass direct today, they replied, fender will phone me on Monday to arrange a pick up. Hopefully it won't be away too long.

So, playing away with headphones in the livingroom laast night and noticed my blue window isn't blue anymore. Anyone else had that issue? Purely aesthetic, as it still sounds beautiful. Will now find out if my Genz Benz warranty has any worth.

Classic Grand has downstairs too, a bit smaller.

...anyone tried one? Not that I will ever be in a position to buy one. Just love everything van Halen, specially Mikey. Are these any good? Just wondering what they sound like. Look a bit daft with the chillies.

[/quote] Maybe fender have a wee factory somewhere that makes bodies. Some bodies might get shipped to the Mexican assembly plant, some to the American assembly plant. Would make sense, especially in tough economic climes.Maybe they don't actually get shipped to Mexico, as maybe the bodies are made there.

I am using sennheiser hd448. Great balance of frequencies and comfy as hell for long periods. Used it with my ba115 and it was pretty decent...probably same electronics as your amp.

I have streamliner and one 210. Great for rehearsal and hopefully get another focus 210 later. Cab is great...easy to carry, easy to hear, seems built well. Streamliner bass must always be boosted in the background even with eq down. Sounds awesome around 9:30.

Proportions. Your rig looks huge....but isn't.

Just watched it, thought it was bloody briliant...I mean, how old are they? They have a right good sound mixed up there and they all have their own style of playing (though the singers vice hasn't broken yet) (and why wear sunnies inside?!). Thought the bass player rocked it. Away to youtube them more.....

I tried a mibass 12 inch with my streamliner. It seemed well made but didn't really sing with that head like others I tried. Ended up going fir a matching genz focus cab. Depending on the head you end up with I would certainly consider the mibass cab. Guitarguitar had them in stock. How about one or the TKS cabs that some peeps are raving about on here. Maybe you could get a try out somwwhere.

I have a boss bf2b, a brown one, made in Japan. It does nicely and leaves the bass frequencies alone and works on the mid to high frequencies. Works wonderfully just after a decent distortion pedal.

Well, I am 350 miles north if bassdirect so I agree, it's toofar to drive for a test. UIf you are passing/ in the central belt and want to try a streamliner you can try mine if you want. To hear how it sounded in rehearsal last week have a search on soundcloud for guitarmaggedon and look for the latest uploaded tracks. That was with 3 guitarists and loud drummer in a small room, through a focus 210. It's 375 watts at 8 ohm and 600 at 4. Plenty. Wad played through my G&L L2000

What about Aguilar Tonehammer and Aguilar compressor? Or markbass lmiii or Genz Streamliner (love mine to bits and could swear the valves are doing some compression) or PF500/800? How far are you from BassDirect or similar?

What's the budget? What's yer weight limit? Does it have to have on board comp? It! If you save on a head would you get a pedal comp? What about an Ashdown abm? It has comp, and octaver, does the rock thing very well. I would have for that but got my streamliner for weight reasons.
