  1. What radio is she using? And why did you turn the stage monitor down? With the isolation on her IEMs, it shouldn't make that much difference to her (although there will be some bleed I'm sure as she's not using customs).
  2. Ashdown make amps, not basses. Why would you want Ashdown on your headstock? It's like Markbass trying to make basses. Hasn't gone too well for them so far. I know that people are going to say Fender and Gibson make/or have made both... but they are amongst the oldest in the business when choice was somewhat limited. Out of interest, how many amp manufacturers have actually succeeded and continue to have a foot in both camps...? (Vox aren't really in it anymore... neither are Musicman).
  3. You wouldn't be enough of a party band - did you come up with the goods in the end? That's all that matters.
  4. You have hat. This changes EVERYTHING.
  5. Perfect! A jazz bass where the neck doesn’t move. Glad you did the inserts. Plus the back looks a lot more pro as opposed to screws.
  6. NYE blast over Kiss GB Spitfire in Kemper running a SSL channel strip profile.
  7. Your version of Kiss seems pretty exciting.
  8. Thats about how much they are. Reliable wireless comes at a cost I'm afraid.
  9. My back hurts looking at that pic!
  10. I want her jacket!!
  11. Popular choice!
  12. It all depends upon your desk and how many auxes it has... but a set of ZS10s and a Behringer P2 is a brilliant entry (not entry performance) point for the money.
  13. Oh man, he's turning into a monster singer. Every gig he does he does something new... and that fact that he can sing higher than all the females is hilarious. Damn right, no other way... so easy.
  14. Just uploaded this from my NYE gig - enjoy. Maybe this explain my shallow stage comment earlier - we were pretty much standing on the dance floor!
  15. Thats commitment hauling around a drum screen! Those things weight as much as the planet!
  16. Don't do screws! Do threaded inserts.
  17. Oh my days. That neck looks amazing.
  18. That’s always the trouble isn’t it?
  19. Ive used these - very good - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Neotech-7901114-Small-Wireless-Pouch/dp/B000P4D8G4
  20. @fleabag sounding nice
  21. @cetera - could they get a deeper stage?! That one gives the one I had to perform on a run for it's money! (I say stage, piece of carpet between the wall and the most important startlit dancefloor... (why do people not realise when putting up said floors you have to leave space for the band... and plugs))
  22. This thread needs more pics!
  23. This reminds me... back in the days of originals bands on shared bills (especially fun at battle of the bands), we used to feign a nightmare situation over a shared kit. Laws of the land = shared kit, bring cymbals/snare. Our drummer turns up to the venue... "Oh, I'm left handed..." Much groans etc. Sound guy looking peeved at the prospect of doing a kit switch around. Me - "Oh Rich, FFS, just play it right handed. I'd like my own amp but can't bring it. Just deal with the situation. Don't be such an amateur". Soundcheck comes... Rich (drummer) deliberately plays shite and you can see the amusement on the faces of all the other bands (especially in a battle of the bands (ugh) situation). For optimum effect, he made sure that he dropped at least one stick through the first fill. We eventually go on stage.... Rich has more groove, tricks and pyrotechnics than a fireworks factory. And that is how a (non lefty) drummer intimidates the hell out other drummers.
  24. I'll be there doing the Custom IEM thing if anybody interested in learning more - or trying any stuff out.
  25. Here you go - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/50-100pcs-3mm-5mm-LED-Diode-Clear-White-Red-Blue-RGB-Light-Emitting-Diodes-Lamp/202717758478?var=502845008360&hash=item2f32eb840e:m:miGcURJ96LGXGEFlCh0UjOQ Using the specs in the listing - Color Lens Type Dominant W avelength (Unit:nm,IF=20mA) Forward Votage (Unit:V,IF=20mA) Luminous (Mcd) Viewing Angle 2θ 1/2 Typical Typial Max Red Water Clear 620 2.0 2.2 10000 30 Orange Water Clear 600 2.0 2.2 6000 30 Yellow Water Clear 585 2.0 2.2 6000 30 Green Water Clear 520 3.0 3.2 8000 30 Blue Water Clear 468 3.0 3.2 8000 30 Purple Water Clear 395 3.0 3.2 400 30 White Water Clear 6000-6500k 3.0 3.2 12000 30 Warm White Water Clear 3000-3500k 3.0 3.2 14000 30 Pink Water Clear x=0.38,y=0.18 3.0 3.2 8000 30 I've highlighted the line in question so the figures are in red. Using the array calculator (inputs 42v, 3.2, 20, 6)... you'll still get the same result. So these LEDs are good. As I say, make sure you get the right resistor though. Is not too hard - for chaining LEDs, solder the shorter leg, the cathode (negative), to the longer leg, the anode (positive) of the next LED. Make sure you heatshrink to prevent shorts. R
