Ipad Mini Gen 1 still ok for Mackie Master Fader app?

For just monitors, it may be enough - generally it's a set and forget thing. So those few awkward moments where the responsiveness gets a bit iffy may not be too bad. Of course, you got an iPad mini - so it may be better than my experiences with my old standard iPad. -

So if you are running it on not connected to the desk, than yeah. When you've got a screen full of the meters displaying, things could be a different experience for you. -

Just make sure you aren't running anything else on the iPad if it's struggling. (Double click the home button on the bezel and swipe up any open applications, apart from Master Fader of course) -
Ipad Mini Gen 1 still ok for Mackie Master Fader app?

No - it wont connect - it will complain of a firmware/application version mismatch. 4.6.2 is that latest official release. -
I've never known a worse rig to use than Bose for a full on band. Folk band maybe, acoustic duo... but electric band... I'd run a mile.

What version of firmware are you running on your DL32R? MyFader was dropped after version 3. If you are running Firmware 4 on your desk, MyFader3 shouldn't connect and complain about a version mismatch. MasterFader4 essentially become the equivalent of MyFader when run on an iPhone/iPod Touch. Note MasterFader 4 is the latest official release for DL32R. 5.1 is in Beta but not available for general download. -
Cream can also turn sour. Disclaimer, the above isn't a catty comment towards M@23, just in case anybody think it's is. I'm sure they are a great player!
-
Well, that's where you made your first mistake.

Feel free to head over to the IEM thread and we can share all our experiences and share some top tips!
-
It's the band getting off with the bridesmaids... if you're doing it properly.
-
Custom IEM quads or UE6 or above. You'll never have any problems with fitment then... and if you think the 215s sounds great, prepare to get your thoughts on "great" rebenchmarked!

Granted this is true. I guess the real point is, a showcase song should be one in that is keeping with the band you are applying for. If somebody gets a gig in a Beatles tribute or and Indie originals band due to their show piece being blistering slap chops, I'd say it's more a reflection of poor decision making by the band rather than the player (who should have been playing something more appropriate anyway).
-
Sir Duke is a good call. Standard function fodder. Who plays Colorado Bulldog or the The Real Me in the function world? Audition for the band you are trying to be in rather than the band you dream to be in. In the originals world, I would look at their influences and tailor a piece to something of that genre. If you are trying to be in an Indie band, are then interested in your inappropriate 6 string bass... or your slap chops? If you are going for a Dirty Loops cover band, than yeah, start learning some Snarky Puppy covers, or get some Level 42 down by all means. But ego tends to not get you hired.
-
And you probably wouldn't get the gig along with m@23 - because the first thing I would think of (and other potential band leaders) is... ah Level 42 fan. How long til this guy starts busting out inappropriate slap chops over function fodder?
-
If somebody was joining a function band of mine, I would be more impressed with a show reel of I dunno, 40 clips of function fodder, than some epic display of fire that may have taken months/years to learn. I would need to know that somebody can be told about a first dance the day before a gig and turn up and I've got enough confidence for them to nail it first time through. The best function players aren't necessarily the ones with the chops - it's the ones that are reliable and have repertoire under their belts.
-
Seeing that 5 next to ms, doesn't fill me with that much confidence... and it's mono. It looks like they've taken the guitar wireless, flipped it and put a headphone amp on the receiver. It may work for you, depending upon your signal chain and the cumulative latency. Stageclix do something similar (not at the same price point though)

Somewhat rare? Umm. I think I'd disagree with that one!

Ipad Mini Gen 1 still ok for Mackie Master Fader app?

I don’t think so - typically you’d filter for iPhone apps in the App Store and install an iPhone app onto an iPad... but because they are one and the same app in mf4, I don’t think so. You are stuck with the full fat app on the iPad. -

MyFader is deprecated I believe. From MF4 onwards the same app download is used for both monitor mixes and iPad mixes - the software presents the monitor mix on iPod touch and iPhone and the full app on the iPad. -

Maybe have a look at something like an iPod touch or a phone if you are looking solely at monitor mixes. The monitor mix app (even though it is the same download) is more responsive as there’s a lot less going on. For example, I have a iPhone 5s that is quite happy for monitor mixes. Obviously it can’t do the whole foh stuff - and also, check which phones can support the newer mf5.1 (if it’s ever released) if you want to continue using it. It’s quite nice having a device you can keep in your back pocket for quick mix adjustments. -

I can only guess so. It feels like the 4th gen only needs a bit more oomph. It works... but wouldn't choose to pick it up if theres something a little better available. Would have to ask why mini? Because you will appreciate the larger real estate when messing with faders and the like. -
Sooooooo what are Stagg rebranding? Shure are gonna be taking a beating on all these lower priced multi driver IEMs.
