  1. Yeah, they don't look bad do they? Not that I'm fussed for the packaging... but they've clearly made an effort. Reports say kick in the bass, recessed mids and treble - so I'm guessing it's not going to be that great for critical listening, although it could be great for onstage with no EQ. It depends what happens to vocals I guess. Interesting... may have to see if I can get a listen on a pair. Where did you source these ones from?
  2. Dont you hate it when people do that? Do they not think to mention such things? Oh yeah, I saw a hihat clutch on the floor after our last gig. Thought it was a bit strange. Oh. It could have been yours I guess... couldn't it? Bandmates. Sometimes the biggest idiots on the planet. Next to the idiot that forgets their bass, that is.
  3. Lusted over this the year it came out. Gutted they never did it as a 5. I'm still gutted they never did this as a 5. My fave Stingray of all time. Good luck with the sale... and if I had money to burn, it would be hanging on my wall.
  4. Man, this kinda stuff happens to me on a daily basis! :-p
  5. I did contemplate it - but I needed to be sorted until I moved into lands of unknown where I know very few people - or locations of music shops!
  6. Not with your FRFR setup. You'd kill it.
  7. That's cos Rock n Roll killed you. It's time to fight back.
  8. FFS - not only are you killing Rock n Roll, you are systematically destroying it for everybody else. You complete b*tard. Interestingly enough, did they have any feedback about your rig post the gig - or were they a "don't care as long as I have a sound" types? Anyway, the other point you make is very valid. I sold my Fender Twin as my Kemper now takes care of that... and a load more extra that I never owned in the first place.
  9. I did arrive as a bit of a stressed out wreck. 😛 Gig was actually pretty decent in the end though!
  10. I sold it! Squier Affinity 5 String Jazz bass aka The Life Saver OK here's the backstory. I live in the Midlands, Lichfield to be precise... and I regularly gig with a band based in Loughborough. I agreed to do a gig with them down in Taunton - however, they had van driver availability issues, so I agreed to drive to Loughborough and pick up the van. All the way to Loughborough, something was playing on my mind... you know, that feeling you get that you've forgotten something but can't quite put your finger on it. You mentally check... cables, amp, strap etc... all check. Get to pick up the van and move my gear from my car into the van. Oh dayum. Where's my bass? Band leader says, no worries, I got a 4 string P bass you can use. I'm all, nah, it's OK, I got time to call back via home and pick up one of my basses. So I drive home. Dayum. Guess which idiot left his house keys in the car... back in Loughborough. Time was getting on and there was no way I could make it back to Loughborough, then back to Lichfield, then get to the gig in time... especially as I had all the PA in the van with me. Cue lots of phoning around trying to find somebody local that I can beg, steal, borrow a bass of. In short, couldn't get to anybody in time to pick up a bass and get to the gig... so drove to PMT, walked into the shop and asked for the cheapest jazz bass they had and take it straight to the till. I think I was in there all of 3 minutes. Got to the gig ok, a quick setup and the bass is decent to be fair. I would keep it but already have a low priced Yamaha that fulfils the role of a cheaper bass. So in short. I'm an idiot. This bass has been played for approximately 2 hours. I bet there's examples out there with more miles on it due to being on the shop floor. It's in as new condition, complete with the original cardboard box. My idiocy can be your gain. Anyway, dropped to £150.
  11. It does - but I haven't got a pedal case at the moment. I can get you measurements if you want to hit the Kemper forums though.
  12. Completely oblivious...
  13. See if you can spot me. 😛
  14. Looking great. Im sure Chad's face is that colour right now. I'm sure you could do the same for the Kemper community...
  15. I wouldn't bother personally. My JH were a pain in the backside fitting into the custom cradle. In fact, I'm pretty sure they've dumped it now and just have the case. It was fiddly trying to get the ear pieces in because there was no flex in the cradle. Functionally, I think the latest 64 case is probably the best.
  16. It's a take on the Peli 1010 case. Your's is more than half the price though - so you can't argue with that! Is it airtight? - has it got a pressure relief valve? Only reason I ask is that I got caught out with such a case when I went on a plane. Couldn't open the bloomin' thing because it hadn't got a pressure relief valve! 😛 You do realise that you've now opened a whole new world of geekery in this thread. Didn't your IEMs come in the original 1964 case with the natty cut out foam interior? Why the change? Incidentally, I think the new 64 audio case is pretty stellar. Not the most attractive case out there, certainly compared to the cf offerings from JH - but for functionality, I'm mega impressed. 1964 case with foam insert - 64 audio case with all the tool holders and apex module holders - JH CF case - I actually like the design of the roundels - but don't think that they are as good for holding all the accessories and the like... The UE round case though... man, lust. and for completeness -
  17. Have a look at the exhibitors too... looks like they're leaving everything to the last minute....
  18. Yeah, if you want some wireless with low latency, you are probably looking at the Line 6 stuff at the lower price point.
  19. It all stinks of a bit last minute right?
  20. The artists section is a bit err... meh.
  21. Not great if you enjoy low latency times... and that particular model is not good with active basses.
  22. I noticed that nobody commented on my binaural adventures.... maybe I can interest you with this one instead? Bubbles - Yosi Horikawa. Such fun to listen to... Only really works on headphones though due to the binaural mics that were used to capture it all. Anyway, grab your IEMs (works better than headphones as it removes the influence of the pinna completely) And it's on Youtube - In fact, if you got Spotify, all of Yosi's stuff is worth a listen. The sub drops on Wandering are fun.
  23. Stickers? Oh no, we don't use stickers round here any more. It's just that people are used to seeing stickers... if we break that mind set and open it up to the new way of working, then we can make progress. Not only do we kill rock n roll... lets kill sticker bombs too.
