1. What heath robinson contraption are you coming up with now!?
 2. To be fair, it's criminal to use anything but a digital mixer and a tablet nowadays... the portability and the amount of tools onboard to help you with all the tricky situations you may face, is reason enough alone. For something the size of a shoe box, you have a plethora of outboard available to you! Combined with the lightweight, high output PA speakers you can get, there's no reason to break your back either. It really is a great great era to be into PA!
 3.
Pricey but if it works, all is good in the hood. Need to order one of those once payday swings around.
Yeah - if you need to send you inears back for wax removal, it would be as expensive as getting a vac. It's on my list of stuff to get... just never been near the top of the list.
 4.
We designed a custom Waistpack Sport Pouch My life is complete!
I know, right! I'm just hoping it arrives soon. I may be dead yet before I do at least one gig on it! I'm hoping this is infinitely more portable than a bass board... and delivers some pelt! :-p
 5.
Need to get my 1964 V8s cleaned. Over time, bits of wax have accumulated in the ports. The cleaning tool supplied has been semi successful but it's managed to push bits of wax further into the ports. Can't actually get to some of it now and I'm worried it's starting to affect the output of some of the drivers. Any ideas?
Hearing aid vac. 64 actually sell one on their site. EDIT - here it is - https://www.64audio.com/product/Jodi-Vac-Consumer
 6.
Have just pulled the trigger on a pair of UE900s.
Naughty. Next question... colour scheme... design? (As you know, thats the hardest decision to make)
 7.
How long does the reshell take to do? Could really do with a pair of 900s as a spare and getting them reshelled would make em more useful for travelling and work where I don't want to risk losing the V8s.
I think his took 3 or 4 weeks to turn around.
 8. You would typically fill in a "Foreign Shipper's Declaration of US Goods returned form" - something along the lines of this - http://images.fedex.com/downloads/jp/contact/cf3311.pdf When I returned goods, I attached it to the package itself and sent a copy via email to the manufacturer. In the description, specify the goods and underneath that, the statement "returning for repair" and "9801.00.1055" (this is the HTS code for U.s. Goods Provided For In Chapter 85, Others, Returning, Without Having Been Advanced In Value Or Improved In Condition By Any Process). I also tend to put my phone number on as the sender and the destination address and phone number (which should be on the package anyway). I've done this plenty of times. Went through no problem, no customs problems. On return to the UK, the manufacturer should be clued up enough to do the same for bringing it back into the UK. As stated above, the only chargeables will be components, postage and bench time and not the cost of the unit itself. With regards to insurance - cover it at it's full cost. Hope this helps.
 9.
Very tempted to get mine done. I find getting the right tips for fit and isolation is crucial, and can't get better fit than going for a reshell I guess.
Bang on. Once you have customs, you'll realise that a universal with tips is always a compromise! It can take a little while to get the customs to sit properly in your ears... but once youve figured out how to insert them (for some people it will take pulling the outer ear to see the customs deep into the ear canal), the seal... the fit and the isolation... is second to none.
 10. Indie? Surely it's jeans, Cons and a Fred Perry polo all the way?
 11. GB Spitfires are my first love. I have two - a flash bastard one and a coffee table one. They play absolutely perfectly for what I want - low action, set up perfectly. The sound of them is something that I love... and I know the preamp inside out and know how to get all the sounds I would want to get instinctively with the controls on the preamp combined with the various techniques I draw upon when playing. I kinda flirt with the idea of other basses... but ultimately I know I will always favour my comfortable slippers.
 12.
I'm wanting to get my UE900s reshelled. I got them earlier this year through the Custom IEM Company. Is that where he had his reshelled? Thanks in advance
Yes - they went to Paul at the Custom IEM Company - he deals with it all and they get reshelled in good ole Florida at Inearz. They have done a great job and the whole process was hassle free.
 13.
Not guilty.
Apologies! I thought I was replying to Jakester. Ha, look at me. Deaf and blind.
 14.
Please educate me, surely pumping volume through IEM is the same as using in ear headphones at high volume which is widely believed to contribute to hearing loss.
I think that if you look through the IEM thread in the accessories section of this site, you will see that I am possibly the biggest supporter of quiet stages with IEM use at sensible volumes in an attempt to stop people playing at idiotic volumes and destroying their hearing. You will see me on loads of ear plug threads and IEM threads. I think you missed the bit where the tongue was placed firmly in cheek. My statement about seven shades though... It's still true though...
 15. Mic up their kit... give them IEMs... and then pump them a mix at a deafening volume. Curiously enough, they aren't so keen on smacking seven shades outta them...
 16.
I am. Any news? 17. The Pensas I played in NYC gave me sleepless nights... until I convinced myself I really didn't need one. I've only played one Suhr bass. Again, lovely bass... but didn't really speak to me any more than any other J bass. Their guitars on the other hand...
 18.
That's banished forever, total junk.
How did Jim ever agree to that?!
 19.
I have no part in Mic lights, if they appear I can cope but if they don't then that's cool, one less plug
It's when the Elvis mic makes an appearance that things go to shizzle.
 20. As above... or if you fancy a project.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-XI6doQWIM For that length of cable, you shouldn't be able to hear any difference between a balanced mic run vs unbalanced jack run. Having said that, I don't know what the units are - but they may be expecting a balanced connection over a jack using a TRS jack. Have you got any further info about the components?
 21.
Two tops with enough heft to not require subs hence the 1x12 in a fairly large venue barely on tickover. Two powered monitors that can be used as tops in an emergency. Two stands and a hidden mixer/iPad. That's it job done.
Leaves plenty of room to carry the mic lights.
