1.
Please tell me that your neighbours cat is black and female!!!!!! EDIT: yes, i'm that old to remember, many on the forum won't understand the pic. Pepe was one of my favourite WB characters.
Ha ha brilliant! Sadly not - He's called Harry (and his brother is called Wills). I remember watching that very cartoon though!
2.
42
Quite disappointing then. That's less than the uptake of the signature Warwick basses.
3. Sounds like a plan - Get something that you can mount the power on the underside... then it gives you options - and it's easier to hide power blocks like the one I posted, than trying to figure out what to do with those wall warts.
4. How many people will buy this because it'll make them think it will give them instant Jamiroquai?
5.
I'd say you may just have time to get an endorsement by Tena incontinence pants by the time you take delivery.
I think you are getting confused with the Danley Tapped Horns.
6. Those pesky cats get everywhere. A week back, I'd painted the door frame on the girlfriends house and went out. Came back to find the neighbour's cat had fallen asleep against it. Had to cut the poor fella free. But worst of all, had to sand the door back and go again. Not sure if the neighbour knows why their cat has a short back and side or a dark grey stripe across it...
7. Any pics of these out in the wild yet?
8. Downdown's comment about power output is correct. Hopefully you have a pedal board where you can put the power under the board. What I did, was run a power tank thing for all the pedals but would use something like this - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-240v-AC-DC-12v-2A-5-5mm-Mains-Adaptor-Charger-fits-Bose-SoundLink-Mini-/391628807448?hash=item5b2ee55d18 - for my power hungry digital pedal (think it was MB SuperSynth or something like that - I don't use a fx board currently). I would split the mains - one to the big PSU, one to the power tank underneath the board... (in fact, my power tank thingy had a mains through for daisy chaining PSUs). Hope this helps.
9.
Didn't have you down as a Spice Girls fan! Lol
You recognised the lyrics!
10. Tape is better than conductive paint unless you paint that stuff really thick... and the paint is a lot more expensive.
11. "Come a little bit closer baby, get it on, get it on..." ...utter filth.
12.
No one likes slap riffs anymore
Yeah I hear Level 42 are finding it difficult to sell tickets nowadays.
13.
It has been known to happen with sealed speaker cabs and the wrong type of socket but not with an amp.
Yes - actually, now you say that, I have seen that... but of course, a lot of things are now Speakon. But amps! That's some vibration.
14. I've never seen a jack being vibrated out of a jack socket!
15.
I use active 12" EV subs 700w & come in at 45lbs each they are the lightest I could find ,I did consider using my BF compacts with a 1000w digital bass amp but they are not deep enough in dimension to take a pole to support top speakers .
If you are into 12" lightweight subs, the RCF 702 ASIIs weigh in 17.5kg. I don't think the BF Compacts are tuned to do subwoofer duties - I think Alex is expecting people to take the FR800 with the subwoofer DSP if they want a dedicated BF sub (that is, ignoring this new 18" offering)
16. It depends if the the device which is being switched requires proprietary circuitry... otherwise, I used to make mine out of Hammond boxes and simple latched or unlatched switches (depending upon application). Now - and thats if I can be bothered with it, I have a Boss FS-5L for my rack mount tuner mute. (I tend to turn around and push the button on the front now).
17. Any news what is happening crossover wise? Or would it be a speaker management system that would need to split to the tops and subs? That's an impressive lack of weight!
18.
oh! just in time!!! I got distracted and didn't finish the transaction then... and I got the chance to use this code. Awesome! Only £111.20. Next time I see you at the Tickled Trout I'll buy you a beer
Chin-chin!
19. 20 percent off ACS Promo code XMAS16
20. One of the biggest differences between the LD and Sennheiser, audio aside, is the RF section. The LD has fixed channels. If you are planning on running a lot of wireless, you are going to be running into intermod and interference problems pretty quickly if you can't fine tune your systems. Yes, you can choose a number of channels if you are using the same gear, (e.g. IEMs) but if you start throwing in Mics... and even add the complexity of different manufacturers, you're going to run into problems pretty quickly. UE900s - defo, they are a bargain under 200 - the eglobal link has been bounded about a bit previously. I wouldn't be looking to buy them for anywhere near the rrp!
21.
I've been very pleased with them but have nothing to benchmark them against. I'm sure I won't be but, if the UE900s aren't a big step up from what I already find very acceptable, i'd be really disappointed.
Listen to the live version of Hotel California from The Eagles Hell Freezes Over album and tell me you can't hear a difference!
22. JH Audio... between 10 and 15 percent off.
23. Threaded inserts would solve the problem so it'll never move... however, if you want to do that mod to a 70s Fender is one you'd have to think carefully about.
24. Funny enough we should be talking about driver count. And now... if you happen to have a spare $3000... https://www.64audio.com/product/1964-A18-Custom-In-Ear-Monitor 18 drivers per side. I think Vitaliy and Jerry are in a battle of cramming drivers. To think that 1964 were the "affordable" option not so long ago, I defo think they are gunning for being the top name in the market... and I believe that this is the first time that they've trumped the competition on driver count. (and priced a flagship above Jerry Harvey's $2725 Layla). Looking to see what Noble and UE do next! And Empire Ears... thought they would be happy with their 14 a side...
