Think I will be investing in higher spec earphones in the not too distant future though. Nothing really wrong with the SE215's, but it's obvious that you can get better, especially for bass applications.
Quad balanced armature with dual lows as a starting point!

Just buy a new body and stick the old neck on it. Keep the original body under the bed for whenever it may be needed to be reintroduced to the neck.

Cheers for the pic by the way, I'm currently looking at http://www.bluguitar.com/AMP1.html and watching the video - I wasn't aware of this kit so I'm going to be busy watching this for a while! Thanks -

Bluguitar has a latency of less than 1ms apparently... so assuming he's not using any digital processing in line, then yeah, the latency he is experiencing is likely to be acceptable as the majority of it is going to be coming from the wireless. Put him through a digital desk, external processing and inears and it'll be far from the bollix. -
If you want to push the P.A into medium size venue/halls..?? I think it it would be better to give an indication of how many people.. It sounds like you are talking tops only but you want kick in it, you should be looking at 15's. RCF 725's would be a start point/benchmark, IMO but you'd have to search hard for the money you have available
725As have been discontinued some time now - but you might get lucky and get a deal with some folk who have them in stock and just looking to shift them on. I'm pretty sure that they have the old poweramp in though - and they tended to fail :-/ All the new stuff has the new Digipro amps in - and they are solid. You'll see that the 715 mk2 are essentially the same as the mk1 - but with the new poweramp. The 715s would come in budget too I guess - but I would urge you to listen to the differences between the 715s and the 735s to see why that hf horn counts. The more vocal you can crossover to the horn, the more bandwidth is available for your instruments in the main woofer. Edit - as should have said the 725A (active) are discontinued. The 725 (passive) are still available - but not what the OP wants. -

Hmm, Im not sure how small you need to go - but if you are putting your band through with a kick, you'll need quite beefy cabs. I know that they are above your budget, I would look at something like the Yamaha DXR15s or RCF 735s - purely because they will give you a bit of beef without having to run subs. Those 15s will give you some extra headroom, especially if chucking through bass, kick and hammond. These are all instruments that are pretty hard on speakers. There are other 15s out there - but their SPL output is not in the range of the two I've just mentioned - and these both have fairly chunky horns to enable those vocals to cut through without ragging everybody's ears. Out of those two, I would favour the RCF, but appreciate that's an extra £400ish to find as opposed to £300 for the Yamahas. Personally, I would avoid going with smaller tops unless you are running subs - but I would wager you aren't going to get anywhere near the performance out of a sub and two tops for under a grand for the size venues you say you are looking at. As a brucie bonus option, you could go smaller boxes with a small sub - RCF 702 and a pair of RCF 310s would come in at around 1400. It may be a better fit in the cars... but if you were to ask me what I would buy with £1400, it would be the 735s. I think you will need to find a bit of extra cash to do what you want to do successfully but I think its worth the difference as for a little bit extra cash, you get a significant improvement in performance. It's no point buying speakers that you are going to be ragging people's ears with - and you don't want speakers that can't cope with what you are throwing at them. -
Paul Guerin is using one in The Quireboys, I asked him what it was like as the latency figures aren't great, he said "it's the bollix".
"It's the bollix" compared to what? Does he run a line of digital processing, go through a digital desk - does he use inears? Loads of things are the bollix but it depends upon application and experience of other products. -

Is this for putting things like a kick drum through too - or just vocal? And do you need a desk? How many people in the band? Give us as much detail as you can! -
i want my trouser flapping bass goodness. i use a cab.
Even with a 810 running at full tilt, your trousers won't flap. I think people mistake ragged ears for moving rags. You need to move some serious air to get any movement - and we are talking a lot more that even the biggest bass rigs.
Hi all, I know Roqsolid do a cover for barefaced super compacts but I need a cover asap (within 2-3 days).
I think the CS is a distinctly average build. The only thing that perpetuates the whole deal, IMO, is the F on the headstock. People say the 2012 builds upped their game across the board..?? but I just don't think Fender are that interested or committed to that goal, they just want to do enough to continue selling. The really discerning buyer knows there is much better value elsewhere... For example, a Sei J5 would wipe the floor in every respect of a CS, a good few times over but their new prices are comparable. One is a hand made bespoke instrument and the other is a bitsa from other ranges in the brand... namely the American Deluxe. IMHO, of course. The Am Deluxe is discontinued and is replaced by what... a new name and promo campaign..??
I'm not sure I agree with that - some of the custom shop builders are world class and work for Fender for the kudos and security that brings. Just because it's not a Martin Peterson bass doesn't mean that an instrument coming out of Fender CS is not on the mark. I've seen some stunning Seis and I've seen some stunning Fenders. I've seen Seis that have done nothing for me and likewise with Fender. And I'm not sure I agree with bitsa element - I know of a guy who chose his woods and everything to the nth degree with a Fender CS build. BS like this on the internet is how throwaway comments turn into Internet fact.
What it sounds like to you on stage is largely irrelevant. What it sounds like out in the audience is what counts. A 30ft lead or a wireless is the only test for a cab, so you can hear what the audience is hearing.
And if you are going through the PA, the cab is irrelevant anyway.
Looking at it, looks like the same as https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.behringer.android.control.app.x32q&hl=en_GB for Allen and Heath? I love the idea of personal mixes - one of the MD's who does theatre work round here uses a set of behringer personal monitors (see: http://www.music-group.com/Categories/Behringer/Signal-Processors/In-Ear-Monitor-Systems/P16-M/p/P0421 ) and it makes theatre pit playing an absolute joy.
That's pretty much it. And the equivalent hardware unit for A&H is the ME1.

The other thing to be wary of is manufacturers that time the cabinet with a distinct midrange hump. This cons the ear into thinking its a lot louder than the next cab.
