1.
Could also cause problems if you have to adjust volume mid gig as it will be on back of speaker.
Nope. You'd adjust it on the preamp out.
 2. Of course, the question is, Cream or jam first?
 3.
We're actually just about to break for tea in a min..... Will post a pic.
Yes!!!
 4.
I mostly play gigs at pubs and clubs where there's no FOH, whenever I do have FOH I tend to see my rig as more of a safety blanket and statement of intent than anything else (what with monitors etc.)
Ha - way to scare people... roll 2 8x10s in... I like your style.
 5. Tea and biscuits at Ashdown HQ sounds amazing. I wonder what an Ashdown afternoon tea is like... I want to know if everybody downs tools and chills out with the Rolling Scones.
 6.
Nice, even.
Genius. "Happy Face"
 7. Visog didn't like it. Ah well, no use crying over spilt (malted) milk.
 8. Has visog taken bourbon than he can handle with the B Social?
 9. If you like a lot of chocolate on your biscuit, join Ashdown's Club.
 10. Sounds like a grand day out to be fair
 11. Well I never... stumbled across these... https://www.soundonsound.com/sos/aug07/articles/qa0807_2.htm Seems like the ambient sound thing has been done with Westone too.
 12.
I have a Gruv Gear Fump which works very well!! http://www.gruvgear.com/fump
I have one of the same... but they are a bit too muted for my tastes. Sponge pad under the string still works better for my needs.
 13.

That's the spirit. Well done. Certainly gets my seal of approval.
 14.
Nothing sounds as good as an all-valve amp.
I've never liked valve on bass. Guitar yes, bass no.
 15. No experience of that psu but the higher voltage ones put out fairly low current so may not have enough oomph to power any digital pedals. Your bog standard boss type analogue pedals will be fine though.
 16.
Yes, yes, I promise not to do it again.
As not to disappoint... Remorseful words from a gillty man.
 17.
This thread is the cream of the crop
Deja vu. Mind you, I'm finding it hard to come up with any response either. On a butter day, I would be churning them out.
 18.
I like seeing pics of kit, old or new, with or without a review. It's one of the reasons I started visiting Bass Chat all those years back.
Agreed, without BC, there would be loads of stuff that I would have otherwise not seen... even stuff that doesn't readily come back in google image searches. Stevie, shame on you.
 19. Seems that some people don't like the puns in this thread. :-( I don't like kryptonite. Anyway... There's a herd of people that do.
 20. Fight? I need to see one of your gigs! Do you play behind chicken wire?
