1.
There's obviously demand for the original Deep Impact pedals, if Korg don't want to make them anymore why don't they let someone else under license?
I'm sure Akai would have something to say about it all. Anyway, I'd be surprised if the long outdated microchips in there were available in any significant quantities to warrant production.
 2. Bow Finishing. https://www.facebook.com/bowfinishing/ - some examples of their work on here. edit : main site here http://www.bowfinishing.co.uk
 3.
Can't mark up due to rarity factor of the original!
Laws of economics say no.
 4. OK, so spent some time with the PSM300 now and I can confirm that it has comparable quality to the transmission of the PSM900... which is good news. It would have been a shame if the unit sounded like the PSM200 for the price point that it is at. I would have to recommend the metal receiver over the plastic one - it's pretty much identical to the PSM900 but with a fixed aerial and limited software on board. (It wouldn't actually surprise me if they shared pretty much the same components but crippled by software. So if you are happy with the fixed rear antenna and the fact that you are limited to the fixed frequencies, then I would recommend the PSM300. Whether or not I would take it over the comparatively priced EW300 (which has extra features), I'm not too sure - it all comes down to the noise floor... and whether you can cope with the slight hiss you get from the Sennheiser when nobody is playing (and when I say slight hiss... it really is minimal and I'm just being picky! - it certainly wouldn't be a deal breaker.)
 5.
got a 360 but no matter what they say at ebs its different. the top end has changed. in fact I found it sounded different overall.these diffrences were the "improvments" they made which could well be what a lot of players out there want but to my ears these were horrible changes.
This! This! This!
 6.
Seen this scratch plate someone's had made for there's and love it. Where can I go to get one made?
Send your existing plate off to Sims to be used for a template. Not cheap... but perfect.
 7.
Get exactly what you want for less, without the fugly headstock.
You still get an ugly logo though!
 8. I'd be going Meyer!
 9. Great track although I thought the original that he did with Raiyn was the superior version.
 10. Did you get anywhere with this?
 11.
the fact they own some bandwidth is worth the extra £200.
Ha ha. What sort of guff have they been spewing?
 12. PS - go for a holiday to Canada to check out a BBNE2...
 13.
They're my pick too - very solid and dependable instruments, always reasonably priced (apart from the BBNEII).
BBNE2 is reasonably priced... apart from in the UK. I remember I bought one brand new at £1150 off the Yamaha rep when they were about £1800. Just look at them now
 14. I would second Yamaha - their stuff has always been high quality.
 15.
I too love mine, and I'm having very good results with their customer service department. However, I have heard, though not had first hand experience, that their new HD360s, TD660s and Fafner IIs are not nearly as good as the older kit Would still live to give a Fafner II a go though. Gallien-Kruger seem to have maintained a good reputation since the 80s
It's not really the HD360s and TD660s and Fafner 2 amps that have changed. They've had tweaks sonically which is either something you like or don't. As far as construction goes, they are still as they were. The chrome as gone - this was sold as "environmentally sound" decision... the cynic in me thinks it is because chroming the small handles is actually quite expensive. The big changes have been in the cabs - the hardware all used to be the real deal Adam Hall stuff - they've been swapped out for cheaper equivalents. The covering has also changed - not as thick, not as robust. The pedals have changed also - now made in China. The cheaper switches in them are an annoyance. They are prone to failing and the PCB mounting that they introduced in the change is a ballache when it comes to unsoldering and replacing. They became true bypass... the cynic in me would suggest that was done because it was cheaper than putting in a buffer... For me, its a shame... but for them, it's about staying competitive in the market place.
 16. You have a decent bass. Give it the scratch plate it deserves! At least you know it will fit absolutely bang on that way.
 17. A power supply with isolated outputs would not show this problem. Its because you are reversing polarity on a daisy chain and I think you are running into ground problems. I don't know if it's really fair to call it a problem of the product (unless you consider the choice of polarity with regards to other fx pedals, flawed...?)
 18.
Guys, guys, guys, I have NO problem with those who haven't changed their avatar since Gordon Brown was PM (yes EBS_freak, I'm looking at you).
It's OK, I didn't think you were. She's there till the day she either pisses me off or she leaves me for another man. (or woman)
 19. I edited the post above to include the bit about the low power option. Don't know if you have seen it or not. May prevent this situation should you play in a similar environment again!
 20.
which is why I didn't press the issue and just reached for my spare cable to make him happy...'keep the sound guy sweet' and all that
Sometimes the path of least resistance is best.
 21. On a side note, the problem with RF congestion is getting worse. Where users are standing next to their receiver and not requiring a greater amount of transmission power, I'd like to see more manufactures add a 1mW switch to reduce the impact the system has on surrounding wifi devices. I've just read that Line6 has an option on their transmitter that reduces the power down to 3.3mW. The added bonus is that with less power, you can get more devices in the same RF spectrum without running inter modulation issues and of course, much longer battery life. If you aren't running about all over the place, I would highly recommend that you take the power down to avoid such problems in future. 10mW and even some devices which are transmitting at 30mW is just ludicrous to provision a couple of metres (if that) worth of wireless transmission.
 22.
cheers matey I presumed there'd be a fix for it cos it seems like 90% of the wireless systems out in playland are line6...I suggested switching channels and he 'poo-pooed' the idea...
The reason he poo-pooed it is that he/she wanted to eliminate any risk (even if it could be fixed with a channel switch) to loss of control of the PA mix. Once bitten and all that. That kinda makes his need greater than going wireless - especially if he is using a console-less mixer.
 23.
Had a funny thing at a festival this weekend just gone...the sound guy was mixing via ipad and it went a bit screwy so he asked if anyone had the line6 digital wireless cos it always interferes with his ipad connection...I switched back to wired for that show and he was happy...me less so...anyone else had this?
Yes - you should have said to the sound guy, get yourself a 5 GHz router. - It's because his wireless router will have been running on 2.4Ghz and your data streams were not playing nicely with his. You should have been able to switch channels though to avoid the problem.
 24.
Behringer and the like don't do their own R&D. They make tributes to other products instead.
*cough cough* X32 *ahem*
