I have used side-fills that fire across the stage at larger venues with some success but with a decent set of monitors (an area where modern tech has really improved quality) I don't think it's really necessary any more. As others have said, I'd try setting up in a more acoustically efficient manner and re-tuning the PA to take this into account before lashing out any more money. [/quote] Stop trolling!

If you read back through the thread, Ive tried to be nothing but helpful. Go buy your next piece of sh*t and get sh*tty results with that. Time doesnt equal skills gained if the time invested is learning bad practice. Its the same with playing the bass. If that rule stood, everybody on here would have many bass greats standing in their shadow. I repeat what I said earlier. Good luck. :-)

I don't want to appear rude here but I certainly would be looking into to some basic skills of using a PA before investing heavily.

Ask Mr East - sounds like you may want to experiment dropping your pickups too.

No, no, no! The mute is for a pedal so that you can remote mute the ouput from the tuner. Do this.. Bass -> Input 1 -> Using George Ls thin cable, go from Output on the rear of the tuner -> Input on your amp (If it's in a rack case, the George L is thin enough to go between rack units into the input of your amp. Then, using a latched mute, (or maybe unlatched mute - you'd have to read the requirements of the tuner), you can then press your pedal for silent tuning. Press agin, the ouput then becomes live again so the signal goes to your amp. PS There is no front tuner output.

UEs are great. Sennheisers are a bit hit and miss for me... But the ie8s are cool. Nice bass response. Its amazing how vastly different all the earphones can sound!

Tx500? They are good but do cost you some treble... And they arent that hardwearing. But the comply tips are about as good as you can get before you get custom moulds. If you want to have a great fit, try some acs tips. I love iems. Im a bit of an iem whore. :-p Got some JH Audios coming soon!
