Have I missed the slide on lid bit?

Whether it off cuts or not, if you are messing about with custom boxes (which I don’t think Barefaced are - I suspect they are putting bits of wood that are big enough in their router and pressing the button) you are creating work for yourself and it’s a very bad business practice. As stated earlier, pedals is about shifting units. If your customer wants custom paint jobs or boxes or whatever that costs you time, they should pay for it!

And some tape would be a lot more safe... especially when the instructions are only in English and the product is being marketed worldwide - which wouldn’t necessarily be a problem... if there wasn’t a hazard like having four nails.

That would make zero sense if you are looking at industrialising your process.

Just skimmed. I don't think anybody has complained about the price. Only comments were made is that a 250 fuzz box is not for Stevie and potentially this pedal goes up against stuff like the Helix Stomp. There's a whole argument there saying that it apples vs oranges... but it's a valid challenge. However, I know that the cost of producing small runs of pedals like the machinist for the money that it is, is far from unreasonable.

Has there been a lot said about the price? I'd say the pricing for this is about right for the functions that it has and it's "boutique" element? (Although the box is a little questionable to me... and the inclusion of nails is just bat stinky poo crazy from a safety point of view)

Where has this sliding lid come from? There's nothing in the pics to suggest this?

Indeed, I can't see anything that resembles a slide on lid. All Im seeing is a lid with some nail heads visible... and some holes in the lower part of the box where those nails would seemingly historically sat...? (Bottom right looked like the nail missed the bottom box?)

I was thinking the same! If it's not sliced fingers, it's splinters. (careful of those exposed nail heads too)

Does this mean that Waves aren't selling anything right now? I'm guessing Soundgrid has taken a beating due to minimal gigging and I'm guessing that any studio aren't really investing in stuff like this at the moment. So, if you can - and you are looking for a bargain. This may be it.

Wireless transmitter goes into your bass. Output from wireless receiver goes into your zoom where you have plugged in your bass. Job done.

I'd normally say XR18 or M18 - M18 looks a bit cheaper. Don't think you are going to get anything digital and all singing with 6 auxes for much less than £350.

Why would you want to go to an analogue mixer? Plug everything into the splitter. Main split goes to FOH, secondary split goes to your M18 and it's business as normal? If you want an analogue mixer, you need something that has 6 aux sends - the only small mixer that springs to mind is the Allen and Heath Mixwizard range - and you'd have to set the jumpers so you have 6 prefader auxes. Interestingly enough, the mix wizard mixers have a direct out, so would remove the need for a splitter - but it's worth noting that the preamps would then not be under the control of the FOH, which may not make you popular. A Mixwizard is a lot bigger than a M18. The UE6 are popular because it gives the headroom in the lows that bass players demand (balanced armatures aren't so great at headroom or bass department - thats where the dynamics come in in the UE6, complimented with the balanced armature in the high to give you the detail, air and sparkle that they really excel at). In short, the UE6s tend to give a more warm sound than a BA equipped equivalent IEM. That doesn't mean however, that they don't sound absolutely brilliant - they will kill pretty much anything else out there sound wise for a comparable price - at least for a bass player. UE7 and UE11 wise, the double drivers in the UE11 are going to give that better controlled, low end response. The UE7 tend to be a bit bass light or not so great at delivering the low end without breaking up if you dig in. Headroom is king for a bass player. Hope this helps. If you have the money, custom is where it's at for sure. Night and day compared to the KZ.

Stay away from heat - if it's poly, you can weaken it and get cracks. Lighter fluid as mentioned above, is a good first step. Try that and get back to us.
