  1. Seems that you are not alone!
  2. large poles on a single coil pickup, when not on a MM
  3. The domain of Woz smacking seven shades out of what little life was left in them.
  4. Reminds me of the tunnels in what was, Birmingham Musical Exchanges.
  5. I suspect that date is more realistic. My facebook wall is still full of musicians thinking that this is all going be solved and back to normal my April 2021.
  6. I need to go to Specsavers - been indoors since March. And that doesn’t look to be changing any time soon! (Hence the hair)
  7. Different thread. The reference was made in another video I did though!
  8. So it looks like social media is going to become a wash with split screen videos again. I’ll kick it off...
  9. I first started playing with rendering on my Amiga on Vista. The sort of thing that would take 60+ hours to render out 600 frames. Ha ha. Looking back, the output was probably not worth the investment! Oh and that half flashing LED power light would make your heart sink.
  10. (in isolation of course. In the mix, they kick it)
  11. Totally, I guess I was looking at it through my eyes and my requirements. I guess like everything, it's how much you are prepared to spend and how long you have to wait around for rendering. In short, it's the editing experience which is key... if you can edit smoothly, you are good to go. You can always make use of proxies if you need to help your computer out... and then drop in the full res files at render time and leave it over night.
  12. No difference I would say. Helix, AxeFx and Kemper haven't stopped people from buying pedals. At the end of the day, you can get really specific in your choice of pedals... with the muliprocessor units, you are limited to the algorithms in them. If you don't like the algorithms, you are out of luck.
  13. The Darkglass and EBS are like - apples vs orange
  14. Complete restoration. The VIN badge is original... that's about it. As long as you have the plate and the paperwork, rebuild away!
  15. I never really cared too much about specs until I really started pushing the boundaries of what I was doing audio wise... and particularly video wise. Interestingly enough, just done a pores render out of my 2014 MacBook 2.8Gz i5 8GB vs my 2019 iMac 3.6Ghz 128GB Ram (with Vega 48 GPU) to see the kind of difference. Macbook - Render took 1 hr 12s. On the iMac, 3min 48s. No waiting around I guess! This is the other thing with video, it takes a lot less time to realise that you've f**ked something up. As they say though, I have paid for the privilege.
  16. Sonically, there's very little in it. Especially on a gig. Primarily my choice would be down to there being more in the power department for your particular choice of cab and being newer, the Reidmar is less likely to have developed scratchy pots and the like (if the HD350 amp hasn't been looked after nicely).
  17. The HD350 blue stripe, white lettering is my fave amp from EBS of the ones mentioned. Id take that over the Fafner or the TD650 - although you will want to run it ideally at 2 Ohms or 4 Ohms. A single 8 ohm cab is going to be pretty lacking. Although I would probably be looking at the Reidmar 750 nowadays.
