  1. Ah yes. Malcolm. Interesting character. Played down his club a fair few times many years ago.
  2. So many drums! Not enough limbs. (No Def Lep references please)
  3. Because Hollywood Nights, Bob Seger. It just doesn't sound right without the two kits.
  4. Looks quite a good candidate for a wrap - or even a better, a wood veneer. Interesting project, thanks for sharing.
  5. https://www.musictech.net/guides/essential-guide/logic-pro-x-the-beginners-guide/
  6. Actually - now I have seen it, I know of the tasty blender - its the blue box that was getting my interest.
  7. That IEM amp looks interesting? Is that a home brew?
  8. Nice work, that's a lot of work to get that over the line... all those videos, all at the right frame rate, all lit well... Nice work all. I'm suffering trying to get some off the footage from my lot. It's pretty soul destroying to be honest. It comes to something when I can get stuff over the line with a bunch of friends... but not off the actual people that I actually gig regularly with.
  9. The correct answer is... buy whatever you feel... because people tend to do that whatever others say anyway. Its like Reaper, Cubase, Ableton, Logic whatever whatever... they all do the job. The main factor will always inevitably come down to price.
  10. If you want to flex on a Mac user, just start uttering words like Bitcoin or Video rendering. Most Macs will not cope or be totally weedy compared to a PC... thats if they haven't suffered thermal issues in the process.
  11. Indeed they do. But they are the minority. And of those, a percentage are running their Windows environment in a VM.
  12. Same - I develop on both *nix and windows platforms. As a preference, I go for the Mac unless I absolutely have something that can only be done in Windows. (I can't be bothered with running up VMs).
  13. Well, that all depends what you are developing. There will be a load of MS developers that will disagree with you!
  14. Isn't the the stock answer for this generally as follows - Music apps - Mac Photo apps - Mac Video editing/rendering apps - PC Gaming - PC VR - PC Everything else, doesn't really matter EDIT : Coffee shop socialite - Mac
  15. Mac defo. Would never go back to PC through choice- although as people have said, the hardware costs are significantly higher than a PC. However, it all just works... and you'll spend more time being creative rather than trying to fix stinky poo.
  16. i say that about A LOT about musicians. There are those players that play for the song... and then those that have to be oh so clever. For example, if the song requires a held root note, there's a flood of self proclaimed virtuoso musicians that will deploy everything in their bags of trick to avoid playing that held root note, to the detriment of the songs. That is why you find so many great musicians, whilst being in a supportive role and under the instruction of a decent producer, produce absolute perfection - yet release their own album of absolute pretentious nonsense. Having the knowledge, skills and chops doesn't always grant you taste.
  17. Have a read of this!
  18. The sound of balanced armatures - very clear. You may prefer a hybrid setup, with dynamic drivers. Additionally, with the single BA in the bass, they may appear a bit bass shy.
  19. I suspect your SubZero SZ-IM2 is going to be you main culprit. Play some prerecorded music (as in normal produced song) through your IEMs directly from source... and then put your SubZero SZ-IM2 in the chain and compare. If the quality goes through the floor, that confirms your problem.
