just practise and practise more........................................then as you get more used to it you`ll realise the economy of movement the 6`er will give you.................................... far less swooping up and down the neck...................... also beware the rogue ringing strings..... become more aware of muting techniques on the surrounding, unplayed strings............................................. good luck!!

very much older and used pa system................ comprises of ...........two 2 X 10 plus tweeter cabs (8 ohm each)....( IS 210 model) plus MA100 pa head amp see attachments for original info......................... usual stuff ....... works ok ................. amp pots crackly when turned, but pretty much ok when set..............all items could do with a `wash `n` brush up`......................... this would be fine for starter set, rehearsasl room, monitors, practise home rig etc price.................... £70 for the whole lot!!!!! Absolutely no shipping, freight, courier or post .............................. however can possibly deliver to nailed on cash buyer from brighton up to sw London....................... also possibly home counties..........berks,surrey,oxon,hants,herts,essex sort of thing........ sometimes a bit farther.......

Need to get a cab checked out, NE Hampshire/SW Surrey
jhk replied to franzbassist's topic in Repairs and Technical
just a thought...................` chris` the tech is only there one day a week,so phone ahead..........................also,as far as I can tell, its location is not like a big shop window on the high street (like it used to be at wapping)................ so I would always ring ahead anyway...................... -
I did it with an SWR Goliath jnr lll for Eminence 2510 NEO's. This is quite common and you can find these reviews on the web I didn't like the swap and only went for it as a repair/replacement as I couldn't get the original's replaced. Only improvement was the weight... but IMO, the cab wasn't the better for it at all. Sold them..but have spoken to quite few others who liked their same swap.....??????
thanks for that......................... it`s handy getting this feedback so I can make an informed decision...................................
Most companies have their own speakers made to their own spec for bass. Usually the spec is like a standard one, except cheaper.
do you know what the equvalent speaker for an eden ec 1060xl 10 inch is?................. is it an eminence with a disguise on?
-
ah............... thats good to know.....although I err more towards hi-fi`ish rather than rock tones.....................so at least i`ve got a review to kick off with!!
-
Thanks for reply.................... as i understand it Eden are one of the few companies that have their own speakers made ,to their own spec...................that`s not to say that someone like eminence would possibly be the manufacturer but as not as part of their own publicised range

i`ve had a look round the forums and have not found anything ...............so at the risk of annoying anyone who has posted/answered this..................... in the XLT series of Eden cabs that have 10 inch speakers ,is there an equivalent or better performing speaker to eden`s own? The question also includes availability aspects..................... also....................... pricewise and brandwise ,is there point not to go below ,as quality/reliability becomes compromised? has anyone here actually changed theirs,eg metro combo -.............2 X 10 XLT............-4 X 10 XLT............... and found an improvement? cheers.....................
