Silverburst? Almost Mastodon-esque!
3. Great deal for that head @ £125!
4. Talking of chintzy, just seen this! http://spectorbass.com/euro4lxtrade-rachel-bolan.html
5.
Just seen the bass. A fitting tribute. Although whenever I listen to AiC, particularly Dirt, I hear an orange Spector...
Yep, me too! Think it was that one he was playing in the 'Them Bones' vid?
6.
Hey, a Spector Porn Thread! Some pics of my latest acquisition - just for the record. Pre-XL 2002 Czech-built Euro4 with solid maple wings and Tonepump circuit. I thank you!
Wow! That's one lovely bass!
7. Another happy BH500 owner here! I play in a loud two guitar band and it manages to keep up with ease (no matter what watts it's alleged to be rated at ), like any amp head you have to tinker a bit to get "your sound" but with the 4band eq and the tubetone it'll do it, for what I was going for, read a variety of posts on here which helped and got a sound I'm very happy with. At £275 it's great value for what you get, surprised there's not more peeps using 'em.
8. We do this one in my band - currently using Dean Markley Helix Nikki Sixx gauge .50 to .110 - not too flappy!
9. From what I can remember, around the time of Pornograffiti - Pat was using a Kramer Spector P/J bass and Mesa Boogie amp and cabs...though if you've got a twitter account you could ask the man himself! https://mobile.twitter.com/PatBadger5
10. Evening all, Just wondering as some on here have the same amp head as me, has anyone managed to get a gig bag for it? Have been trawling t'internet for hours but with no luck! Cheers Dan
11.
I asked the same thing, but a standard Knightfall with a blend will set you back £140. You may as well get a 66 for an extra couple of quid, lots more bang for your buck. I did, and it rocks! You will not lose any low end, I promise. There is so much on tap. You're asking the same questions I did a few weeks ago, and Tom answered them all. Call him, He'll be happy to put your mind at rest. A bunch of BCers just told me just to get one, I wouldn't regret it. I'm now saying the same to you. Just do it. You will love it. It's the best drive pedal I have owned by a country mile. I've just done my first 2 gigs with it and everyone has commented on the tone and definition because it doesn't get lost in the general mix. Call Tom and sort it out!
Was my only reservation - getting lost in the band mix - but everybody seems to be very happy once they've got theirs in their various setups - hadn't thought about the '66, will have to go and have a look at that one, cheers dannybuoy and ratman!
12. Have to be honest the demos I looked at on YouTube (taking into account how bassless computer speakers are!) sounded pretty awesome!
13. Some lovely pedals here folks! Trying to resist pulling the trigger on a Knightfall - is there any loss on the low end? Just wondering if I should contact Tom and see if he can do one with a clean blend?
14. I use the Bh500 with a bc210 & bc212 in a very loud 2 guitar band - very happy with it! If you can wait a month or two as mentioned above, I wouldn't be surprised if TC do their usual 'one cabinet free' deal (from what I can remember they have done it annually in the summer for the last 2/3 years).
15. Stunning!
16. They've finally got a landline number - 01403 252302!
17. I really like mine, it's not a high end amp and doesn't pretend to be and IMHO is value for money when you consider what you get!
18. I'm currently playing through TC BH500 head, TC BC212 & TC 210 cabs - cabs aren't too heavy, it's loud and cuts through two very loud detuned guitars - job done! Cheers Dan
19. When the old landlady left she took the landline number with her!
20. Hi all, My band Solice is playing the following event for charridy! https://www.facebook.com/events/288303637980243/?ref=2 Cheers Dan
21. This my lot - Solice - we do grunge, alternative rock & metal with the odd pop/indie cover! https://www.facebook.com/groups/solice/
22.
Thanks chaps I really can't get over how good a 5 string this is.. It really does bury everything else i've tried before.... the feel is just perfectly comfortable for me... trouble is I now really have GAS for this: http://www.bassdirec.../M5Front590.jpg I think this maybe my perfect bass... IF it feels and plays the same and with that Stingray sound... what do you guys
Have a look at this video (apologies if it's been posted before!) http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=blkrjAa4kvI
23.
Nice bass Tom
Yep, I agree!
