9. Had read in BGM that he was gonna be playing with D & M, thought he played some good stuff considering the material, always liked "Crazy Horses" but the guitar player ruined that for me! Yuk, horrible almost clean tone when playing a rock number...tsk tsk...

14. Don't know if anybody else has posted about this but there I was flicking thru BBC Interactive and I come across a section with highlights from Muse's hometown gig from last week, start watching it and 2 songs in..hang on.. what's that bass he's got...blimey...it's only a headless Status! Last bassist I saw playing one of those was Rhino from t'Quo! Then on the next song, Chris is using what looks like a mirrored finished, maple necked custom jobbie (a Manson perhaps?), did look very cool!
15. Aaah that brings back memories of my first proper bass amp (I had the 200 version), have a bump on me old chap!
16. How about this..... 17. IMO the current issue is a marked improvement on the previous one so I think the mag is heading in the right direction, the interviews were definitely better: the Janek interview was very interesting and especially for me the Michael Anthony one was better than the interview with him in Guitar and Bass mag! One thing though, I dont know why the guy who writes about his Scholarship is going in depth on all the techniques he's learning as the other guys who have written for that page tended to tell you more about the whole experience of going to a music academy which I for one found far better reading. I'd like it if they would bring back the "Hometown heroes" thingy that Niceguyhomer was featured in (if my memory serves me right?) and my only real complaint which is pretty much the same as everyone's mentioned here regarding the reviews of basses that are WAAAY out of most peoples' financial limits! Dan

21.
There is one of those in Canterbury, the guy wants £1200 fot it.
Blimey, if only I had known I wouldn't have settled for £200 in part xchange for a p-bass when I was in The Bass Centre some years ago
22. Best bass I've had in my time playing!
23. Ah...I've been thinking of getting some replacement pups for my Fernandes as it has a naturally "zingy" sound due to the maple neck but after finally gigging it a couple of weeks ago I've realised that I need some pups with a bassier tone, so I guess it would be a pair of '84's I might need to get?
24. I have, some vids are good with interviews and lessons with well known players and others can be a tad talky!
25.
If you're *really* lucky you might find an Ibanez Studio 8. Heavy, but as good as an 8 gets, I think. G.
I owned one of these, used to bi-amp with a Trace stack and 50w geetar amp!
