This is way beyond most recent Yamahas (and I love Yammys!), really up there with the early Japanese stuff - weight, sound, playability all superb. Very cool bridge that allows you to string through the body at 45 degrees or through the back of the bridge. Looks fantastic too. Comes in as-new condition, including very nice fitted gig bag, original box and swing tag - still has the protective plastic on the scratchplate. Also includes the original paperwork showing that it was bought from Bass Direct. Retail on these is £1049, Bass Direct will charge £878 - this is therefore offered for sale for [s]£650[/s] [s]£599[/s] [b]£549[/b] + postage. Reduction to £549 for the next 10 days or so (until I actually move house) only then this will be withdrawn or taken to Bass Direct for a commission sale. And in reply to Al, you'd be welcome to try it out if you're local - it is a very well defined sound.

In terms of weight, it's a (definitely bulletproof but not unmanageable) 8.7 kg according to the bathroom scales. As ever quality isn't lightweight...
