  1. Agree with Neepheid. The blade P pickup is definitely hotter than the original thick brick. Personally, I prefer the sound of the TB in my Mercalli.
  2. I'm kinda feeling vindicated after the naysayers pitchin' in with their negativity vibes 🤪. The fact I got mine for a bargain too and it exceeded my expectations makes it all the sweeter to play!
  3. That looks class! Hope you get many hours of enjoyment out of it.
  4. Bought this locally a few weeks ago. Cracking jazz bass! Again, absolute steal at that price. A bit darker sounding than my American Std but a small adjustment on the amp, boosting the high mids (D800+) gets it into similar territory.
  5. I'm kinda glad 😄.
  6. I have the vintage blonde and love it! Sounds great, plays well, is light, and looks the part. The satin finish on the neck and body are really nice. £259 is a steal.
  7. I have semi-retired my Reverends at the minute. Earlier this year, I was after that classic P bass tone and did some research to see what was out there, at the cheaper end. I bought a Squier 40th anniversary vintage and at £300 quid, was mighty impressed, to the degree I bought a 40th Jazz a few months later. Lovely guitars with a satin finish and aged hardware. I'm enjoying gigging these atm but I will return to the Revs as they are great instruments. Enjoy the new D-P, BB. Looks cool and great to see Rev continue to offer something a little bit different to the bass community. That's enough abbreviations for one night!
  8. Didn't take me long to succumb to the GAS! Picked this up locally this week. Another really lovely bass. Heavier than my 40th P and feels substantial. Big sound and is more throaty than my Amer Std. These are great basses and incredible value for money.
  9. For sale is my Smoothhound Classic Wireless Guitar System These really need no introduction on Bass Chat - highly regarded, good value, and easy to set up and use. The system is in full working order, boxed, and comes with a brand-new power supply purchased from Smoothhound. Please note the velco strips are on the receiver for secure placement on your pedalboard and on the transmitter which I found was a more secure way to attach to the guitar. Can be removed if required. Included in the price is free postage - £4.50 for Tracked 48 with Royal Mail in the UK

  11. I know the feeling!
  12. I bought one of these around the end of March. £300, B stock because it didn't come in the original box. Not a mark on the bass itself. It feels, plays and sounds great. I absolutely love playing it and the fact it was such a bargain. I previously had a 2010 American standard precision which I just didn't gel with and got rid off. I had been playing a short scale for the last couple of years, but as much as I liked it, I just couldn't get the 'big piano' tone I was after. This delivers! Currently gassing for the seafoam green jazz from the same line.

  14. Thanks Rayman; I couldn't have put it better myself. After buying my first Reverend, I bought another two. They are first class basses.
  15. Lots of interest but still available. These don't appear too often on BC so if you fancy something a little bit different, this is definitely worth considering. Get in touch if you would like to discuss further.
  16. This Reverend bass is an absolute tone monster and one of the best examples of a PJ available today. I have really enjoyed playing it but since moving to a short scale Reverend, it just doesn't get enough use. Midnight black with cream binding and roasted maple fretboard gives it a classy, timeless look. There are also lots of nice little details including a custom 6 bolt neck plate and jack socket. For a passive bass, the pickups deliver a huge sound, whether solo'ed or blended. The blend knob offers lots of versatility. Fit and finish is excellent and the bass feels really solid. Satin neck; 42mm nut width; weighs approx 8.4lbs (need to confirm) The bass is in very good condition. There is some light scratching on the pickguard as you would expect. There are also three scratches on the back giving it a little buckle rash mojo Comes with all the case candy. No case included in the sale. Not interested in any trades thanks. Cash only please. For anyone in NI, you are welcome to try it out before purchasing. Happy to ship to UK buyers, at the buyer's expense Lobster's review - he liked it a lot! The official blurb: The Decision P bass is Reverend’s take on the versatile “PJ” set up. Two distinctly different pickups harnessed to a pickup pan control that allows you to go from funk to thump and all points in-between with the twist of one knob, the Reverend Decision P is very versatile! Now sporting a gorgeous Roasted Maple neck with Walnut strips, the Decision has a neck worthy of a bass costing several times more. A well balanced solid Korina body finished in Midnight Black gives this bass great stage appeal. The sturdy bridge can be strung through body or top loaded. Hipshot Ultralight tuners made of aircraft grade aluminium make them extra-light. The difference in weight can be as much as 2-3oz less in the headstock, which means a more balanced bass that’s more comfortable to play. And the tone is great! The bass is more defined and enhanced with the Hipshot Ultralites.
  17. Imposter!
  18. I see Reverend has released some new colours for the Decision P today. Nothing new yet for the Triad or Mercalli. Bit disappointed no new models were released but pleased none of the new colours call out to me
  19. Lovely bass and very tempting. After waiting for one of these to come up again, I might have to get one my Reverends ready for sale.
  20. Possibly, but you have to admire the range and styles in sings in, while playing guitar for most of a two and half hour set, with changes to the set list every night of a 46 date tour. He is one talented guy! Interesting article here on the logistics of the current tour. Particularly liked the bit about not doing dress rehearsals :0 https://www.iq-mag.net/2022/12/the-cure-european-tour/

  22. You are in for a treat. Verb. Will say no more.
  23. I noticed that the t shirts were reasonably priced. Didn't buy one but there were several merch stalls around the venue which were thriving.
