  1. They essentially a flipping business. There was a KS burner for sale at the bass gallery for £1400, a few weeks after it sold it was for sale at bass bros with a £400 markup.
  2. It seems they are. But the content is solid, they’re not teaching bad habits. The online world is a minefield at the best of times so I wouldn’t take the chance on anyone else.
  3. In person lessons are great with a good teacher that inspires you. Otherwise they’re a waste of money and you won’t see much improvement. I wish I had Scott’s bass lessons when I was younger, the breadth of classes is quite astonishing.
  4. I’m after someone to change a switch jack on my P and maybe look at the frets. Do you have contact details?
  5. If the neck has been refinished it’s most likely had a new decal, and possibly a mod to the truss access. I’m not sure of the screw measurements for the tuning pegs ever changed in the 70s, but if there are holes behind then it would have had something else over its life.
  6. Nice example but I had to double take on the price. It’s probably a bit more than I’d expect for a 3tsb 66.
  7. Who told you about my impending infractions I wouldn’t even class MIDI as an instrument and tbh it sounds like hard work 😂
  8. That one’s particularly gorgeous
  9. It may have been sudden, but you let GAS get the better of you. Such weakness has no place in this group! I am of course joking and hope you enjoy your new bass and never let it leave again.
  10. Don’t be daft. Withdraw it and get a s/h Sire 5
  11. Did you get it?
  12. Just looking through Geddy’s book and he does have some late 60s and 1970s basses in custom colours but none burgundy mist. Some had matching h/s and some didn’t so I guess it was buyers choice at that point.
  13. Not a fan of the slab body but that neck is gorgeous for a Fender https://bassbros.co.uk/product/1966-fender-precision-bass-slab-body/
  14. 1) good score! 2) I think your second point confirms it isn’t essential 😂
  15. Don’t know if anyone has seen his clips on FB or Instagram? Appears to be playing in wedding bands based out of Boston but a really great player who seems to rearrange on the fly. Killer sadowsky tone too.
  16. £500 is what I got for mine back around 2010/11. I was a bit annoyed to lose so much from new but the Overwater I got in its place was a far superior instrument.
  17. Like most basses, a lot more than I sold mine for….
  18. I would have pretended that the existing IEMs were broken due to distorting and a replacement is necessary 😉 Also iPads have so many uses they can’t be classified as music gear
  19. One thing about ordering a custom bass is you can never be exactly sure what the result will be. Owning a bass by the luthier already is a good starting point. I notice you’re specs are inspired by Rocco Palladino and Janek - two players with a very different specs and sounds - so to expect one bass to sounds like both of those is asking too much, especially from a builder who manufactures for neither.
  20. Looks awesome
  21. Hopefully someone got a legit bargain! Wouldn’t be surprised if a vintage dealer has taken a punt although obviously wasn’t yourself…
  22. Not much of a description but very good feedback on musical gear. Could be authentic and doesn’t like ripping people off?

Saw this is the classifieds and thought it’d be an exceptional buy for someone. Congrats!
  24. Are they rockbass or German Warwick? I didn’t think broad necks were an option for RB?
