  1. Love markbass products so I’ve tried the nickel for my fretless jazz
  2. Why would they want to? There’s a reason Fender style basses are popular - they sound good, Balance well, are easy to setup and easy to manufacture at a low cost.
  3. I’m in team black p/g. I think there needs to be a vote 😁
  4. The answer is - whatever p bass Pino is playing.
  5. Looks a bit like the one ricks fine 52 put together and sold on here.
  6. I think I’m one of those restaurants that has all the gear, spends Thousands on ingredients to create a menu no one understands, looks like it knows what it’s doing, but never lives up to the hype 😂
  7. I’ve gone into the experiment bass preset and seen I’ve had access to the pedals and amps all along, d’oh. This is going to be a day of octave I think 😁
  8. Does anyone know of any bass effect plugins that can be used on GarageBand? I particularly want chorus and octave. Not used plugins on GarageBand before so not sure whether they can be used like logic?
  9. Having looked again I think you’re right.
  10. You can’t really go wrong with a passive P because they’re so basic. My favourite that I’ve owned is a mexican fender that I swapped the pickups to Lindy fralin. With flats it’s now up there with any post ‘70 fender.
  11. They’re bartolinis. Could be an original fender body with and then everything else is parts as that decal is fake. The bottom of the neck might be stamped
  12. Why not look at the m7 or v7/9/10 if you find the Sire comfortable? I really notice the difference between 18-19 mm spacing and 34”-35” scale lengths, and went through quite a few fivers before realising I need 18mm and 34” to be comfortable.
  13. That switch makes a huge difference! Can imagine it being very useful if you wanted to quickly dial in a slap section
  14. Haha, you should enjoy it mate. I reckon if you ever did let go it would be on the list of regrets. When I joined basschat years ago I would be swapping and changing basses every 6-12 months. Luckily from that I realised I had a gem of a Fender already which I still own with a custom Overwater. Just need a decent 5 string.... I’ve already said somewhere on this forum I wouldn’t own a Sadowsky because it doesn’t tick the tone box for me, although in a gig situation I think the preamp cuts through the mix better than most. Also they are very well built and easy to play.
  15. For me, playability and a deep warm tone. The closest I’ve found to perfection is the KS you now own. Hopefully once I’ve got married I’ll be able to save up for one too.
  16. I’ve never had an issue with a weak B on a Warwick, what are you comparing it to?
  17. that's a lot of tone for £1k. A nice little arrangement there too.
  18. Gig the fender and keep the flea bass for fun at home? I would love one if I had the chance.
  19. Have you done it yet? Hit the button Matt, hit the goddam button.
  20. Regarding the CS basses, they’re not mass produced so they are likely to be slightly inconsistent but with longer hours spent on quality checking should mean that none of them are bad basses. The OP is asking for people who have owned multiple PP basses. I don’t think there will be many who have the money to do that.
