1. I'm the only one then. If something's troubling me I'll find the most efficient way to play it. Octaves at fast tempo foe example can sometimes be a pain
2.
So, don't know if its been mentioned ... Who's the bassist then that has been working with Bruno on the newest album?
Nick Novsham according to wiki
3. Could be any of the following reasons; don't want to ship too many instruments when travelling, the p bass' looks suits the band image better, when on tour or playing more than one song they might not want to swap instruments for a slicker performance, on some performances Jamereo might use an Octave pedal instead.... Only people that will know are Bruno and Jamereo.
4. Jamereo Artis is an amazing player! He won a competition on MTV, think it was to play in P Diddys band, which unfortunately can't be watched in the UK even though all the episodes were on MTV's website. If you dont need more than a P bass then why bother with a 5? Check this.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Prk66n2U2pw Ps. If anyone wants a short transcription of "Treasure" I did it a while ago and can email.
5. You've got GAS!? I've been toying with selling everything for a 70's jazz. Reversed my decision at least 6 times in the last few months
6. if this doesn't work out I'm looking to sell my Overwater which is pretty much the same spec ;-)
7. I tried one at the gallery a few years ago and thought it was killing for the money. The pre amp in it was far stronger than the ones you find in pre2008 American Deluxe Jazz's IMO to. Good bass and many good players chose them.
8. great stuff, hopefully you get plenty of punters so you can keep it going!
9. woh! I sold my Japanese one for around £50 on here. #idiot
10. Fender have a huge minimum order, maybe DV decided it wasn't worth it like many small independent stores have.
11. I had to have Pro's as the ER's are too big for my ears. If anything I seem to be able to hear things much more clearly than my friends with ER's can
12. If you know you're competent, go to jams with session players and show them that they should give you gigs.
13. Bought some tuners from mottle feeder. Very well packaged, great communication. Easy purchase
14. 2008- now have been pretty decent. Before that I thought they were dogs, especially the s1 switching series and my jazz deluxe was crap to.
15. bought a pedal off Mark. Was packaged well, in superb condition and arrived promptly!
16. I had one of these but sadly I left it in a practice room for 5 minutes and it had been nicked! Its better than the Korg pitchblack I got to replace it.
17.
But seriously, have a look at this band's website ....... may give you some ideas http://www.jukeboxfunctionband.com/
Interesting that you picked these guys up, I used to live with the drummer. Just to give you an idea I got offered to dep for them last summer for £250.
18.
You mean it doesn't weigh 12 Kgs!? Really!?
I swear that some of the Alembics I've tried have been pretty close to 12Kg
19.
Crikey - hadn't spotted that. So, 12 Kg (26.5 Lbs). It might even be heavier than my mahogany-and-brass Blazer. Surely not.
Again, no. It's the same weight as any other mex fender.
20. I love mine. But be warned, apparently it's not an American standard pickup in the 60th anniversary. According to a post from a rep at fender uk it was instead a mex made 60's reissue pickup. I cannot remember what forum it was on as it was a long time ago but it's worth a google search. He went on to say it was a catalogue mistake that was never changed. I must admit they lacked a bit of low end. I replaced the pick up with some fralins and it's now so good that it is the only bass I will never sell.
21. Often people misunderstand certain music and label it as 'choppy' when it's actually because they don't understand or can't relate to what it is they are listening to. By learning how to play it you will often find the musical purpose of it. To say " idon't like that because it is too technical" is a big mistake.
