For sale is a fully loaded concentric Jazz plate. Been in a bass for a couple of years so has a few surface marks but generally ok. It would benefit from someone with better wiring/soldering skills than me to fix it up as it’s a bit of a mess underneath (works fine though) CTS pots and switch craft Jack from what I can see. missing 1 screw(!) £35 plus postage or collection from Berkhamsted -

For sale is my Westbury Upright bass which, unfortunately doesn't get much use anymore. Bass is in great condition and has had the fingerboard levelled and generally improved by the guys at Thwaites, they also upgraded the bridge so the action can be adjusted. Great bass for anyone who needs a decent, giggable sound but doesn't want to break the bank. So I have a set of original Wizard 64’s that have been sat around for a few years and would now like to put them into a bass I’m working on.... However, I’ve got it in my head that when I fitted them originally the wiring was backwards from normal on these (black goes where white normally goes and white where black goes). Can anyone tell me if I’m right thinking this?! Unfortunately I can’t get in touch with Andy as he is no longer in business. Any help super appreciated!! Dave

Practically brand new set of Ernie Ball Cobalt flats 45-105. I owned a set before and didn't get on with them and for some reason felt the need to try again! Cut for a P bass, played for about 25 minutes since yesterday... £30 plus postage

Virtually as new set of DR Legends, cut for a P bass. Put them on last night, played them today and did what I always do and went back to my La Bella's! £28 plus postage.

Thanks guys, glad they are useful! Pretty certain they’re not 100% perfect but they are as I heard them(?!) and often people will hear little nuances differently so don’t take them as gospel by any means! haven't done one for ages, I should get back on it! Dave

Appreciate the comment on this, having checked with some other cables I'm pretty sure it was in fact the instrument cable that was the culprit - does seem mad that it would just suddenly start doing it though right?! They were high spec cables...Anyway, new Rock-Wire cables on the way.

So, I set all my gear up as usual for a gig last night and the strangest thing happened, for the first time ever my amp was picking up the sound of the cables on the floor, any pedals being tapped or turned on/off as well as everything on the body of the bass being amplified (tapping the wood, tapping pots etc) this has really got me spooked, I was hoping it was dodgy power at the venue but just set it all up at home and it’s doing the same! It’s come out of nowhere?! my rig is Aguilar AG700 and SL410. Also use a pedal board which is powered with a one spot. Have tried with and without pedal board and using different basses...still happens. anyone experienced this or can think what might cause this?! Thanks!!

Late to the party, but I have a Rafferty HPF arriving to me this week. Spent ages looking for one, as there aren't many options (especially UK). Steve has been a great guy to deal with so far and I'll report back with how it works out. Dave

For sale is my excellent Aguilar Tone Hammer 500. I think everyone knows what these are about so no need to waffle! For sale is this now discontinued (I think) SKB 2U moulded shallow rack case. Been in storage for a while so not in mint condition by any means. Comes with a bag of bits to connect up whichever amp head you’re using. Max depth is 26cm behind the mounting rail. So I've been asked to do a promo shoot for KIA next Monday which involves us driving around playing songs in one of their cars, however I'm struggling for power solutions for my amp! I have a small speaker but it would need to be mains powered. I'm using a uke bass so can't manage acoustically. Massive ask I know but just wondering if anyone in the Herts/Beds area would be willing to lend me one for it? Like a PJB briefcase or something?! Obviously I'm happy to leave a deposit or whatever you would want - I know it's an unusual ask so happy to play it by ear! Let me know if anyone can help! Dave

For sale I have 2 practically brand new Hot Covers speaker covers made for Aguilar SL112's. Arrived in December (17) but having not got on with the cabs I'm moving these on too. So I got rid of my Aguilar DB112's at the end of last year (sadly tbh) and am now left with the flight cases I had made for them. So, for sale I have 2 Ultrasonics Audio custom built flight cases, with removable casters. Internal dimensions are W20 x D20 x H15. Could easily house SL112’s as well The flight cases were quite extensively toured for a couple of years so they are by no means mint, but obviously still in excellent working order. £230 £150 NOW £65 FOR THE PAIR!!!or £125 £80 £35 each.
