1. Ha! Spoken like a true BC'er! 😛
2. For sale I have a 3/4 upright bass gig bag, well padded, all the usual pockets for bows, strings, music etc. No longer needed as I have 2! Looking for £20 plus postage or collection from Berkhamsted, Herts.
3. Stagg bass stand for 2 basses for sale. Good condition, only used a few times at home. £12 plus postage or collection from Berkhamsted, Herts
4. As the title says really! I have an SKB 3U rack case for sale as I use an Aguilar TH500 now so don't need it. I originally bought the 3U with the idea of putting a rack tuner in with the amp. Ended up with a pedal tuner! If you don't know, the X racks are much shallower than standard rack cases, they are ideal for micro heads such as Markbass, GB, EA etc. They are super light and really well built. details from Bass Direct (where this came from) http://www.bassdirec.../SKB_Cases.html As you would imagine there are a few scuffs on this, but to be honest it came with a few scuffs on it as well! These aren't exactly made to sit there and look pretty! It comes with all the accessories that are supplied new (screws and nuts). If you happen to have a Genz Benz head I can also supply the rack ears for free with this as I have no use for them! These are £106 new from Bass Direct, I am looking for £50 plus postage or collection from Berkhamsted, Herts. Thanks!
5. For sale is this boxed Audere JZ3D preamp (Vol, Bal, Bass/Treble, Passive Tone). It is in very good condition, was used in my Jazz deluxe for a short time about 18 months ago until I realised that super jazz pre's aren't for me! Has been in the box ever since. I will say that it definitely beefed up the sound, super modern tone and the Z mode switch offers even more flexibility. tech specs here: https://www.audereau...om/Pro_JZxD.htm It is ready to go, other than needing to solder the battery cap and jack back on (as it's the only way to remove the pre from the bass) This would be a 5 min job for anyone with basic soldering skills (I managed it)! See pics for what I mean... Looking for £65 plus postage, or collection from Berkhamsted, Herts. Bargain!
6. Lakland BG5 if you can find one over here, great basses! (Skyline as well)
7. Any chance of a pic showing the neck pocket? is it a good fit? I only ask as I know it can be really hit and miss on late 70's Fenders! Thanks
8. +1 to that! I have a 5 string glaub (the LOG version with nordy pups) best 5 string I've owned (and I've been through a lot)! It's just simple with a great tone and feel to the neck. Also excellent B string...
9. Couple of Pino transcriptions of the John Mayer Trip stuff if anyone is interested!? http://daveevansmusic.co.uk/Media.html
10. The lakland BG5 is great, I have the limited LOG bass and it is the best 5 I have owned ( it's a skyline)
11. Does the top bit of the case come off or does it fold under when being used?
12. So I have 2 sets of labella strings for sale Labella super steps (5 string) standard gauge.... Bought yesterday for my new lakland but they don't fit the thru body! Practically unused - a couple strings were snipped but not much at all and as it was for thru body stringing they will all be fine for standard stringing £30 posted LaBella Oldies now sold!
13. Thanks for all the advice, thoroughly appreciated, can def see the sense in getting the STM and then a tone hammer pedal!...very much looking forward to trying them out...I'm not a big fan of the super zingy sound so I don't think the TH eq would be an issue for me. Anyone know if u can rack the TH?
14. Nought wrong with the LM.....it's actually on (very) long term loan from a buddy of mine who never used it...no need to give it back anytime soon, but would like to always have one that I own as well!
15. Hey all, so I just sold my shuttle 6 as I was after something a little warmer.... I am now torn between the TH500 or streamliner 600... I have yet to play either in the flesh, hoping to try out this week sometime.. Would really appreciate some knowledge from those who have used either or (even better) both!..,. I am concerned that the GB might be too tubey - I've used class D for years now, never owned tube - but am tempted by the current price slash due to their closing down Aguilar appears to be a warmer sounding class D..... For the record I'm not interested in overdrive from either, though I know they can both provide this Pros and cons for both would be great please!!!
16. Still available, after straight sale now as I have sourced a 5 string... Open to offers before I eBay it
17.
Trade you for a Bugaboo pram?
Haha! More baby stuff is the last thing I need right now!
