4. Hi, I've decided to move on my Ampeg B500DR Rack Mounted Amplifier, (was keeping it as a back up to my SVT 200T; but have recently got a M300, which will do the trick, so this is surplus to my requirements) Condition: Excellent Ampeg B500DR Programmable bass amp. Made in USA see link here to official ampeg site:- http://www.ampeg.com/pdf/B500DR.pdf for full details and specs. Small rack amp with up to 500 watts (at 2ohms) or 300 watts (at 4ohms) same sound and vibe as SVT 3PRO, but digital and far more versatile. This amp was the last model to be deigned and built in U.S. Fantastic Condition... Comes with Manual and footswitch Looking for £475.00 shipped.... Cheers Drew

 6. I've decided to run with the Phil Jones M300 head to match my two PJB Piranah Cabs!
 7. I too think that I've finally reached my nirvana with regards to bass and Amp set ups. Luckily, its's always been EBMM for me! I have two dated 1990 which I picked up during the late 90's, early 90's tried fenders, hohners, yamaha etc etc but none of these did it for me... Then I got my first MM is 1994 and haven't regretted it since! Although I think my mid life crises is going to have to be a 1976 pre ernie ball... mmmnnn As for Amp set ups, again when I started playing, i went through the usual fender, warwick, trace elliotts etc Finally fell in love with Ampeg, had a lovely 350 Classic Head, 1x18 & 4x10 cab, it was a beast, both in sound and moving terms... enter the micro heads, sold the Ampeg (Christ what was I thinking) and off I went in seach of something that I already had, but now I'm right back where I should be, have an amazing SVT 200T Ampeg with a 1x15 & 2x10 Ampeg cabs! Don't believe the Hype... everyone has a sound in their heads... go to your local store and try as many bass and amp set ups that you can... when you find the right combination for you...buy it and be content!! Cheers Drew

 10. It is with great sadness that Steve & Jill Azola have ceased trading, designing and building Azola Basses, you can follow the link here to talkbass website.. 11. Hi, I'm in the process of buying a new amp for my double bass playing gigs, but I'm just wondering what to do next? I have 2No. Phil Jones Piranah cabs (each has 4x5" drivers in them) so was thinking of matching them with a Phil Jones M300 or M500 head. I recently picked up a Phil Jones Briefcase and the tone off it with the DB is fantastic, so I figure the higher end PJB gear would be amazing... I was also considering an Ampeg Mirco VR head with 2No. matching 2x10 cabs. I already have an Ampeg Stack (SVT 200T; 2X10 & 1X15) for the full on electric gigs, so I love the ampeg tone, but my current gear is too big to use when I'm also transporting my DB... Portability is everything... Any thoughts/ ideas? Cheers Drew

 21. Hi Again, In keeping with my amplifier clear out (Just received my new Ampeg SVT 200T this morning!! ) I've decided to move on my beautiful sounding Hevos 400T, complete with gig bag, manual, (T Shirt - Just been sitting in the original shipping box), power lead etc. Amp is in immaculate condition, 100% working order!! The only way I can describe this amplifer is like the pure sound of an Phil Jones with the power/tone of a Genz Benz Shuttle... anyone else who's heard one of these, knows what I mean! http://www.hevos.nl This is the spec from the Hevos homepage:- The 400T is an ultra compact amplifier of 23 x 20 x 10 cm, with a total weight of less than 4,5 kgs. Thanks to the application of the newest technics the 400T is quiet as a mouse, even at full power. The class-D / UcD technics takes care of the absence of heat dissipation, resulting in a very compact design. The 400T is a transistor amplifier with a continues power of 400 Watts. The 2 inputs have separate gain controls. This allows you to connect 2 basses at the same time, or 2 pick ups. 400T - Type Transistor Type D HxWxD - 10x23x20 cms Power - 400W @ 4Ohms Inputs -2 x Seperated Tone Control - 4 Band Active Mute Out Headhone Out Phase Turn Switch Speakon Connection Weight - 4.3kgs Looking for £480.00 shipped Thanks for looking; pics to follow later...
.. damn, just what I was after too! not going to be able to beat a reply 14 mins after initial post! haha
Hey Funkyspuke, Unfortunately you were just slightly beaten in the time race!! I do have a Hevos 400T lightweight amp, that I might be selling on too, if you like the pure sound of a Phil Jones and the huge sound of the Genz Benz, this might be for you! Cheers Drew
 23. Thanks for the suggestion Munkonthehill, but as I don't really use pedals anymore, these are just surplus to my requirements and I'm doing a big clean out at the moment... ...Might also be selling on my Hevos 400T lightweight bass amp, it's somewhere between a Phil Jones and Genz Benz ie if you love the pure sound of the PJ and the massive sound of the Genz Benz!! Cheers Drew
