Ouch! I went through the index finger on my left hand with a Stanley knife cutting underlay for a laminated floor many years ago. It didn't come off completely, but I needed several stitches. I had a gig in Germany the following day, which I still managed to do with three fingers. I feel your pain!

Aye, slightly daft not quite paying attention doing the chopping with a sharp knife. One of those where you don't feel it but you see it. Should be fine in a week or so!

I would say the number one thing to do when you`ve agreed to buy a new bass is to start looking for the next one to buy.
