This isn't meant to sound condescending, but have you asked him? I appreciate it lists on his site that its 33-35" but a quick google brought me back to here and this post. Maybe @MacDaddy can advise?

Still no closer to working out what this is - the bottom edge of the body has kind of been stolen/inspired by Dingwall maybe? But the rest of it looks pretty generic. Funny how even with the power of the internet, you still can't answer everything.

I probably wouldn't pick it when looking online, but there's a local guy who uses one and when you get rid of that new gloss and it looks a bit worn in, the Antigua finish does start to look cool...

I did a Bronco project a few years ago and I just bit the bullet and got a local tech to do the tuners for me since I like you, didn't have the tools at the time. Think he changed me about £20 to do it. And the standard size of the tuning pegs fit perfectly on the back so don't worry about a specific set if you are looking to save pennies. I got the tuners from here for about £15 too. Stick an ad up in the Items Wanted section and I'm sure someone round here has a set of tuners in their parts drawer. Super fun things to do and good luck with getting back to working order!

Could try and go up a gauge from what you're currently using. Another option is to contact Newtone and they can make a custom set that will suit your needs

Weirdly I like the Meteora in the more normal colours vs the brighter colours - but those retail prices are well and truly into fully custom build territory. I know I'm not the target market and I am sure they will be very nice basses, but that ain't cheap.

I don't necessarily dislike it as a bass - colour and shape are quite cool, but in a generic way. It looks very 80s/90s Peavey-ish.

I normally really like the natural BBs, but that stain - albeit different from the original plan looks great!

I'd love a Reverend - just don't play enough just now to justify £1,000 on a bass! I'd probably go for the Triad too, but not a fan of the colours currently available. Enjoy it when it comes @Duroc17

Another Fender launch happening next week - and I don't think it has a P Bass in it 😯😂 Seems they are sticking with the Meteora shape which could be cool. Don't think we'll be blown away by the specs on anything in this release.

You're totally within your rights to return it but it's ex-demo? You can't expect a mint bass It's been hung on a wall under direct lights or in a window and played by a whole bunch of people who will be spinning knobs and probably caused that dent too. I'm sure there's some stores that advertise exactly what the faults and marks are that make it B stock, which GG could adopt to stop situations like this happening.

I have fond memories of my Laney gear when I was younger. Got a combo and a cab for under £200 way back when, sounded great. Do people overlook Laney when looking for amps? Always seems to be Fender, Ashdown or Markbass for this price point.

Montana stuff is great affordable paint for sure. Maybe @Andyjr1515 could comment on the grain for staining?

Love the colour, only concern for me is how the a stain would react with the body. It's got some joins/different grain so not sure whether the stain would accentuate that further or hide it? I could be talking nonsense and it will come out amazing! 😂

Having worked in retail and dealing with pre-orders, it's a slippery slope. My store took the idea to take full payment but we were unable to confirm a delivery date, others stores take notes of interest and then call when the item arrived and you could pay if you still wanted it. Both worked in different ways. Now I'm not sure how much visibility Andertons/Thomann have - but this clear issue here is the comms. See if Andertons were just open and said "there's been a delay and we're not sure exactly when they'll arrive" that would probably alleviate most of the frustration. I feel the same regarding train and flight delays, if customers were just told more of the truth, everything would probably go more smoothly. Anyway, a slight ramble, but I hope these show up soon as they do seem killer!

These pre-order things always seem to be pie in the sky don't they? If it is the 12th, then Andertons customers are angry as the date slipped twice, but Thomann customers are happy as the bass came "early". Which end would you as a punter rather be on? 😅
