After years of not quite understanding why Precisions get the love and admiration that they do, as of last Saturday I can now safely say that I get it All courtesy of a 83 Squire JV Precision which both sounds and looks fantastic!
Are they definitely Aeros? The Pups? Very interested if so. What kind of price are you looking for?
I'm pretty sure they are, I may be wrong but either way they sound great. I did list a price but right now I'm not looking to sell.

Hey Guys, This is mostly a feeler just to see what kind of offers I can get, as this is a great bass and I'm happy to keep it but it's been neglected a fair bit recently. I bought this from Eubassix back in October and I really do see why people rave on about these basses, the looks and the playability and the available tones are just amazing. Though as documented in Dave's original thread which can be found here: http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 there is a sizable ding on the bass which happened during the postage, but Dave actually glued the chip before he posted it to me and I think he's done a really good job with it. It is noticeable when you run your finger over it but honestly the amount of times I've told people about it and they've said they haven't been able to spot it, I even forget about it most of the time. Other than that the rest of the bass is in great condition and everything works perfectly fine Pics: And the repaired ding: Specs:

Nut Width: 1.5”
Nut Type: Delrin
Fret Size: .041/.085”
Width at Final Fret: 2.5”
1st Fret Neck Depth: .77”
12th Fret Neck Depth: .92”
Fingerboard Radius: 7.25”
Scale Length: 34”
Frets: 21
Bridge String Spacing .75”
Neck Wood: Flat-Sawn Maple
Body wood: Swamp Ash
Fingerboard: Maple with Block Inlays
Tuners: Hipshot Design
Truss Rod Access At Neck Heel -- 5/32" Hex
Pickguard: White
Controls: Volume/Volume/Tone (Passive)
Bridge: Lakland Dual-Design Bridge
Pickups: Aero Single Coil
Finish: Lake Placid Blue
TRADED!! I had a brilliant 44-02 a couple of years ago which I really do regret letting go of. They're the perfect Swiss army knife bass if you'll accept that analogy, as in they're more than capable in all genres. Seeing as you have the MM humbucker and a single coil to play with, you have a massive array of tones available as well as the option to change the mid frequency via the control cavity. I honestly think they're brilliant basses and everyone should have or at least try one at some point.

Hey Guys, This is a great bass and it has a great preamp but I would prefer something different as I've alread got a JO5 and it generally tend to play that one more. Just a quick picture until I take a few more later (It's the middle one): This bass has been really well looked after by it's previous owner and as said it has been upgraded with a Audere JZ 3 active preamp, more information on the Audere can be found here at http://www.audereaudio.com/JZ3.htm The bass will come with a Hiscox hardcase which is also in great condition too. Trade Bait: Lakland 44/55-02 Jazzes & Precisions (Preferably active but I'm open to offers) Warwick Thumb BO 5 String Musicman Stingray 4 String Price: £850 inc. delivery Thanks, Josh.

Hey Mark, It's got the 3 way Z mode switch. I've switched through all 3 constantly and it's persistently there, I've also adjusted the gain controls too and again it is still there. I don't like having a preamp that you can't ever leave on one setting when you want to play it and get frustrated with it, whereas my other Lakland's it's never a problem.

Hey guys, I've recently aqquired another Lakland JO5 in a trade, and it's come with a Audere JZ3 preamp installed. Having read a couple of reviews I thought I had a good idea of what I tones I should be able to achieve. However, I generally like to play with my mids and treble cut and maybe a little bit added on via my GK MB200 when needs be, but with my 2 other Laklands and my Streamer I traded for this, I can always get the nice smooth warm tone which is what i tend to play with. But even when I've cut both the mids and treble on the bass and on the head, there is still a distinct mid and treble presence and I'm not getting on with it as it ruins any smooth tone I'm trying to achieve. Is this common of the Audere or is it because of the stock passive Lakland picks ups? Thanks guys, Josh.
