3.
You,ve had that bass a while Josh, its done well!!! a lovely example!! i can understand the return to warwick/spector ive got a really nice spector 5 at the mo and loving it, deal with Josh in confidence he's a top bloke
I think at heart I will always be a Warwick player, I always come back to them. Thanks Lee
4. Hey there guys, Lately the thought of having another Warwick or Spector has really been racing through my mind and now I'm in the midst of saving for Uni I can't really afford to jump on some of the bargains that have been on here as of late, so basically I'm just seeing if anyone would be up for a trade for my MM which I've had for the last 6/7 months or so and I've really enjoyed it and will happily stay with it if nothing really takes my fancy, and being in the rare sunburst finish to me gives it a little more to look at compared to the natural version which is every where. Right, Pics: Specs: (Taken from the Fender site) Body Shape: Jazz Bass® Neck Shape: "C" Shape Number of Frets: 20 Fret Size: Medium Jumbo Position Inlays: White Pearloid Block Position Inlays Fretboard Radius: 7.25" (18.41 cm) Fretboard: Maple Nut Width: 1.5" (38.1 mm) Scale Length: 34" (86.36 cm) Headstock: Artist Signature on Headstock Neck Plate: 3 Bolt "F" w/ Micro Tilt™ Neck Binding: White Fingerboard Binding Truss Rod Nut: "Bullet" Style Pickup Configuration: S/S Bridge Pickup: Vintage Jazz Bass® Single-Coil Bridge Pickup Neck Pickup: '75 Vintage Jazz Bass® Single-Coil Neck Pickup Special Electronics: Active Electronics Controls: Volume 1.(Neck Pickup), Volume 2. I'm not too sure as to the age of this bass but the serial number is: T037144 if anyone would like to check it out. But the condition of this bass is damn near mint and there are no faults or anything to note. It does come with the pick up cover and it is indeed made in Japan. Trade wise I would ideally like a straight trade as I said that spare money for me right now is not really a option although if seriously needed and for the right deal I can add some money but it would probably on be £50 at best. I'd preferably like to try and get a Warwick Streamer 4 or 5 string of some description, maybe a BO Thumb 5 string, or a Spector Euro 4 or 5 or maybe a Rebop plus cash my way. If anyone has another active Jazz or similar then I'm all ears If there's any other info or more pics required please just let me know, Thanks guys, Josh.
5. Bump, with new pics:
6. Just have this laying about for some odd riffing but I really could do with the money instead. It is a great guitar both for recording and live purposes. I've played a proper ESP version and this plays just as well and sounds nigh on identical. Also for a secondhand guitar it has been very well looked after and everything works perfectly. Specs from the ESP website: EC-1000 VB * Set-Neck Construction * 24.75" Scale * Mahogany Body * Mahogany Neck * Ebony Fingerboard * 42mm Earvana Compensated Nut * Thin U Neck Contour * 24 XJ Frets * Gold Hardware * ESP Locking Tuners * Tonepros Locking TOM Bridge & Tailpiece * EMG 81 ( / 60 (N) Active p.u. * Finish: VB (Vintage Black) I only have the one pic for now but I could do some more if requested: Price: £350 delivered, sorry definitely no trades as I really need the money. Thanks guys, Josh.
7. I play a full step down pretty much exclusively and have done for over a year or so now and really I've found it quite a sobering and educational process. It does take adjusting to and can throw other bassists and guitarists off but if you're competent with playing in a lower tuning then you should be able to make it easy for others to understand what and where you're playing.
8. Blade Runner.
9.
As ever with stuff like this its in the ear of the beholder and there are so many other variables messing with the equation. I felt the original was a bit un refined, and I wasn't too keen on how it was voiced (rumble and clank). But like I say, horses for courses.
Indeed man, it just generally seems to me that the consensus with the MM jazz is that the preamp is weak and should be replaced. Much the same with Spector Euro's and the Tonedump.
10. This is peculiar, I actually quite like the stock preamp in my MM. It's easy to attain that Marcus tone but I also find it quite flexible tone wise as well. I've owned a Sadowsky MV4 before and if anything the tone is very similar to that, powerful and variable. Maybe I've just got a good one?
11. Any clone to me is a bad player, no matter whether they can play in time or not, if they are just sapping completely on one persons creativity and claiming it as their own that's when I personally see them as a bad player because they lack their own creativity to the extent they completely use someone else's and try to pass it off as their own, tribute acts are different and it is part of the act.
12. And Sold.
13. I recently left my band about 2 weeks ago now as I had really reached that point where I didn't want to continue playing those songs and I admitted to not having the drive to stick with it as I've now got my mind set on going to Uni. A lot went into my decision and luckily it went down pretty respectfully and it's on the best of terms I could've hoped for and I feel I've made the right choice. Just talk it out with them, tell them your not happy and if you really can't see yourself sticking with it other than forcing yourself then that's a clear sign that you are done and that's the best time to say so.
14. Since recently leaving my band and soon to be saving up for Uni these are now surplus to requirements so now is the best time to move these great cabs on. These have been my longest serving cabs and they have always sounded consistent and never failed in any situation. One of the cabs is a bit more tatty than the other, they have seen quite a lot of gigging action and picked up a few more scratches along the way but they both work perfectly fine. I only have the one photo of them both as they are currently residing at the studio I use to rehearse at, but they can be retrieved for some new photos if requested, anyways here is the pic: Specs: 600W RMS into 8 ohms Dual 12" neodymium speakers with horn 36Hz-19kHz. Dimensions: 59,69 x 62,23 x 41,91 cm Weight: 23 kg Both cabs come with wheels and have handles and are an easy one person lift, and they also both come with a GK speak cable. SOLD Thanks, Josh.
15.
is this still for sale????? wanna trade for a dingwall abz 5?
As the title suggests, this has been sold for a while now.
16.
i want this so muuuuuch, somebody needs to buy the ibanez from me, i have such big plans with this thumb....goddamnit.... anyways guess you're not interested in a trade since you lowered the price....
I'm afraid not man. My want for a MM Jazz is now sorted.
17. Still no interest even at £550, that's not right.
18. Right, for today only if anyone can get £550 to me today they can have the bass, I could really do with the money right now and someone is going to get a Custom NT Thumb for almost nothing. So that's £550 p&p included.
19. This is still up for grabs. Bump.
20. Josh

23.
i bet when you get a Lakland 55-02 Josh your (understandable) search for a bass, may be over for a while..
I doubt that very much looking at my track record.
24. bump. Final price drop to £600.
