duuhhh..... was obviously not awake while writing that post. would have to be a custom job then ive got a black fender jazz USA with maple neck and an audere jz3 preamp, approx 2002 i think. interested?
Sounds pretty good man, could I see some pics at all?
are you interested in a trade for a Yamaha TRB 5string MK1??
Sorry Chenzo I'm not really after a TRB, thanks though.
 2.
Are you only interested in a trade?
Indeed.
 3.
anyone know if you can put a stingray 4 scratchplate on a stingray 5?
Nope, you can't.
 4. Picked this up very recently and all I can say is that this is a great bass but it's just not for me. No other reasons at all. Pics: For a 13 year old bass I think it has been maintained very well and the worn neck just oozes character but obviously can be sanded back down to clean it up. There are no major dings at all to report, there is some minor rust to the pole pieces but this does not affect the tone in anyway at all. The previous owner had the pots and jack socket replaced recently so there are no crackling pots or dodgy jacks. There is a minor drop in volume when using the Series/Parallel switch which apparently may be caused by a dry joint, but it's nothing a little boost in volume can't fix. And for clarification, the bass is sparkly purple and has thus been named Prince by a lot of punters. Trade Bait: Jazz Basses (Any) Lakland 44-02/55-02 Musicman Stingray 4 String Price: £650 Posted. £625 Collected. The bass will come with a Hiscox hardcase. Thanks, Josh.

 7.
I've never seen the official league table of bass players so I don't know who is overrated and who isn't. But I do find the flabbergasted worshippers quite amusing.
The comments section on any Youtube video counts as a good league table nowadays. As do I.
 8.
To be honest, I think it was when I saw Pino's name, I lost the will to live. Take those blinkers off...please.
I rate him as overrated purely based on from what I've heard of him, and with respect to him and his ability, I don't get any buzz out of his playing. I don't think anyone has thrown any slander about him around in this thread. Why should people retract their opinions merely because you think differently? If such was the case this place would be fairly Republican and increasingly dull.
 9.
and what's wrong with 4 strings, you bald twat?
That's seriously uncalled for if you ask me. Seems like a humble guy from what I've seen.
 10. Prince: Prince in action:
 11. I'm going to have to call it quits on coming to this as I've got photo shoot.

 14.
PM me your address and I'll send cash special delivery on Monday.
Will do.
 15.
Or can I pay you and pick it up when I'm down that way?
Indeed you can man .
 16.
No courier?
In all honesty, I'm overdrawn and this money is going to be paying for rehearsal on Tuesday. And I have no hardcase for it or anything to send it in.
 17. Purely as the title says. What's wrong: I've gradually changed all the original chrome hardware to black and also tried to change the pick ups to a set of Wizard 84's, but my soldering skills are sub par and as such the wiring is pretty crappy at best. And also the pick up's don't quite fit as hoped so a little room needs to made, and as such the pick guard needs a little shaving to fit as well. The tuners also are missing some screws due to some minor alignment issues, which again can be easily solved. The strap buttons could do with a longer screw. So in short, it works, but needs a little time to correct some mistakes. Anyways, Pics: I bought it new about 4 months ago and the general condition is still pretty damn good, but considering what needs to be done which admittedly isn't that drastic beyond a little re-soldering and some drilling. But it is housing a badass II bridge as well as the Wizards so there is some worth there still. I can also supply the original Duncan designed pick ups as well and original hardware. Price: £80 collection only. Thanks, Josh.
 18.
Think what you like about his tree-hugging, his tantric sex and his new beard - that bloke can sing. And he's no spring chicken. Little bass-player totally made up when Sting compliments him on his rendition of the bass part. Awwww! Thanks for posting this, wombatboter!
I've never really understood why so many people dislike Sting. Regardless, the guy is a legend and people neglect his contribution to music. I mark him as a great influence on my playing.

 20.
As you've probably noticed, my knowledge and understanding of Heavy Metal goes all the way down to zero and, indeed, clean out the other side. Talk to me about HM and you end up knowing less than when you started.
Most people who know their stuff about HM would probably also be perplexed by who the hell Ron Mcgovney is. Most Metallica fan's are convinced Cliff Burton was the first bassist.
 21.
Who?
Metallica's first bassist. But as it says in the description, it's his Post-Metallica bass.
 22. I can get behind that. Check the video of Usher's drummer, Aaron Spears:
