4. Hi, So with much deliberation, I've decided to clear some space and sell some of my basses. Here is my Lace Helix 5 string neck through fretless in white bought about a year ago. It is a great sounding fretless from subtle double bass tones to sweet "Jaco" tones with the Alumitone pickups. It balances perfectly with no dive whatsoever. It's not heavy at approx 8.5ibs The specs are as follows: Patented Lace Helix Body Shape Multi-6 Laminated Thru-Neck Maple with Mahogany Sides 34" Scale C Shape Neck -21 Frets 1 5/8" Nut Width - 15" Radius 2 Lace AlumitoneTM BassBar Bass Pickups 2 Lace DAT Volume Knobs with 250K Pot 1 Lace DAT Tone Knob with 250K Pot Heavy-Duty Chrome Bridge Heavy-Duty Sealed Chrome Tuners Rosewood Fretboard These pickups are truly amazing and give the tone of an active bass. It's a cracking instrument which comes with a moulded padded gig bag. The bass is in mint condition and has been used about 6 times on jazz gigs. RRP on these bad boys are £849. So I've decided to let it go for £675. [s]PRICE DROP £600. Price Drop £575[/s] [s]Price Drop £550[/s] [s]Price Drop inc postage £520[/s] Price Drop £500 http://photobucket.com/helix5 Jim 07739969811

 7. Here are my two: The Orange Century Standard has Roscoe Barts with a swamp ash body and a maple neck/fretboard. The Flame Koa Century standard + has a swamp ash body, Flame/Burr Koa top, 3 piece maple neck, birdseye maple fingerboard and Bart J's in 60's position. Both are monsters of tone! I love these basses and they weigh next to nothing with great feel, tone and playability. Also, the trim pot on the control plate comes in really handy. Jim

 9. You can deal with Paul happily guys, he's a great guy who lives not to far from me (about a mile) and all his stuff is kept in top notch condition. Highly recommended.
 10. First bass owned: Tanglewood Rebel 4K Go to bass: Roscoe Century standard/standard+ (depending on what gig I'm on, I might play a p-bass) Your bass: Roscoe Century / Gb Spitfire (Both have "my tone" which tends to differ night to night. More tight low mids)
It might be worth reading the review of my ACG Harlot bass, there is a link to it in my signature. It's not exactly the same as this bass but it gives you an idea of what to expect.
Nice review mate.
I had my Harlot out tonight and I was giving it big licks to some Level 42 stuff. I spent a little time marvelling at the bass in a mirror, I cannot get over how small and compact the body is, along with how well it balances. It also helps that it balances beautifully. Will my love affair with this bass ever end?
It will never end! If i hadn't just received my Roscoe, this would be going!!!

 22. Whatever happened to the Dean Razor Bass? Not the pointy horrible to play thing but the one that Jimmy Haslip used to play and it looks kind of like a Roscoe LG!? Here's a pic to jog your memory. Jim
