2.
This is a little concerning to hear especially given that I'd had correspondence with Soliloquy about meeting up at the end of last week, but hadn't heard back from him. Like you say, I hope he's OK.
I've just spoken to him and he had a family emergency and left his phone at home. He;s fine though
 3. Soliloquy was supposed to come over yesterday to see me but didn't show and wasn't answering his phone. Does anybody know if he's alright as in nothing happened to him did it?

 5.

The best sounding Rumour without a doubt was the blue Rumour that got killed on the Mika tour. Literally offcuts of wood glued together and painted up (hence why he'll never sell it) - yet for some reason, it just sings... well, it did... until it got killed on the Mika tour. That'll be because of this then...... I had the pleasure of playing this bass when I was playing with Paul Carrack and my GB was being reviewed by Dave Marks. It was a stunning playing and sounding bass. Will be much missed.
 6. It's all horses for courses mate. If I'm doing a delta blues / jazz gig, I'm not going to want a super crisp Status or 18v circuit, I'll want a passive bass. If I'm doing a modern covers band / musicals, I'd want an active bass so I can adjust the tone and make sure it punches through a full orchestra. Jim

 12.
I briefly had an S2 classic, found it very heavy and the strings are set right at the edge of the fingerboard on the 5 strings, too close for me. They have 18mm string spacing at the bridge and most Kingbasses I've seen use the very narrow spacing so that's a big difference.
I have quite bad back problems and I've never had trouble with it. If I can come out of hospital and a week later do 3 45 mins sets with it, it's good enough! The bridge on the is adjustable. Just ask OutToPlayJazz
 13. If they play anything like the VM jag basses, it's on my list!!!
