  1. Sold my 40th anniversary Squier Jazz to Magnus. Couldn't have gone smoother๐Ÿ‘Œ Drove across to Leeds and delivered the bass to him personally. Had a nice coffee, chatted all things bass and browsed Magnus' impressive pedal collection! Hope to transact again soon; a fine BC'er ! ๐Ÿ™‚
  2. And sold. Thanks for the interest everyone ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™‚
  3. This is now on hold pending the usual...
  4. Yeah I definitely prefer a two tone burst too๐Ÿ‘Œ
  5. With this face I was definitely born to play bass! ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„ How thrilled do I look!!! ๐Ÿ˜‚
  6. Bump and final price drop. ยฃ200 posted or collected, whichever suits.
  7. Will now include postage within the UK ๐Ÿ‘
  8. I have the natural version of this and it's fantastic. Typical Yamaha quality, regardless of where it's made ๐Ÿ‘ GLWTS ! (Or rather, trade!)
  9. Love that birdseye! ๐Ÿ˜ GLWTS mate
  10. Here's a bit of the bass in action, when it was wearing rounds. (Going through a Keeley Bassist compressor I think) VID_289931028_132218_982.mp4
  11. Fantastic for the money aren't they. I've got the dakota red version of the P.
  12. Thinning the herd at the moment, so this Squier 40th Anniversary Jazz Bass is up for grabs. Brilliant bass for the money but it's just not getting as used as it once was. I also have the 40th Anniversary P Bass from this range and I'm using that a lot more. Two tone sunburst, maple neck/fingerboard and a matte finish throughout. Bought new about 18 months ago and gigged fairly regularly. Bass is still in great nick. As far as cosmetic issues go, the matte finish on the neck has gone a bit shiny with use and the same has happened on the body, by the bridge pickup where I've rested my thumb while playing. There is a TINY ding on the back of the body of the bass, but it's so tiny I can't even photograph it! I tried though, have a look at the pics. Bass plays great and is currently wearing an old set of D'Addario half rounds, for that flatwound vibe. Based in Liverpool. Would rather not post, but can be arranged at buyer's cost/risk. There is no case with this bass but it will be packaged well if required. If buyer is not too far away I can deliver personally for a fuel contribution. Meeting halfway also possible. *UK BUYERS ONLY PLEASE*
  13. Ahhh no, I had no idea ๐Ÿ˜ž A BC legend, RIP ๐Ÿ™ I met him a couple of times around 2010 after guesting him into a couple of my gigs but kind of lost touch with him. Great bloke. Over 3 grand now!! Superb ๐Ÿ‘Œ
  14. Is Martin no longer with us Bagsie? ๐Ÿ˜•
  15. Amazing response in just 24 hours!! Well done everyone and hats off to Clarky for getting the ball rolling in the first place. All the best with everything Andy!
  16. Sorry to hear about this Andy ๐Ÿ˜• Hopefully the right BC custodian will come along and somehow you'll one day be reunited with it. Wishing you all the best with it mate
  17. Just sold a lovely Stingray Classic to Keir. A fabulous transaction from start to end. Keir committed to buying the bass less than half an hour after I'd first posted it for sale and paid a deposit. The following day I delivered the bass personally to him at his home in Shropshire and he paid the remaining balance. He even gave me a contribution to my fuel. Had a nice cup of tea and a great chat on all things bass. I also tried out some of Keir's lovely basses. Very happy that the Stingray has gone to such a good home. Would happily transact again. A fine BC'er if ever there was one! ๐Ÿ™‚
  18. Played an ACG for the first time ever today and the quality was fantastic!! Really impressive instruments. Whoever buys this will not be disappointed. Alas, I'm not in a position to buy but GLWTS ๐Ÿ‘
  19. 2011 Stingray Classic for sale, with original hardshell case. Features ebony fingerboard and roasted birdseye gloss neck. Excellent condition, all works as it should, including the foam string mutes on the bridge. First of all, in the interest of being thorough, a few small cosmetic issues worth mentioning: There is a scratch on the "hip" of the bass (see pic, which looks a hundred times worse than it actually is!) There are a few tiny lacquer dinks around the top edge of the headstock (see pic and zoom in) The hardshell case has had a bash at some point in one of the corners (see pic, one of the raised "fins" on the corner of the case is cracked but the case itself is still structurally sound otherwise) A couple of the pole pieces on the pickup have blackened slightly over time, purely a cosmetic issue (once again, see pics) Other than these minor issues the bass is in excellent nick and is extremely pretty indeed!๐Ÿ˜I bought it a year ago, but have hardly played it (think I've done three gigs on it, if that!) It's mostly been played at home. Would really love to keep this but it's not getting the use it deserves and I really need to raise some funds for other pressing issues. As well as the original case, there are a pair of Ernie Ball strap locks included (pictured) I'd really prefer not to post this, but if absolutely necessary it can be posted at the buyer's expense. I'm based in Liverpool, viewing welcome. Can deliver personally, within reason, meet halfway or whatever. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Any questions, please ask away... UK BUYERS ONLY PLEASE ๐Ÿ‘
  20. One of the few basses I regret selling. Brilliant hi-fi sound from these. Usual Yamaha quality. I'm currently in selling mode, otherwise would be seriously tempted. Whoever buys this will be well happy!
  21. Agreed 100% re the BB3000 comparison. The reverse P pup on these gives them the edge. The middle setting on the pickup selector produces a glorious slap sound!
