I can vouch for the great work of Andy Vickers by the way, with the ebony board on this. My BB405 also has a replacement ebony board from Andy. Really nice work; you'd think the bass originally came with the board! Buy this with confidence chaps!

Hello again all Here we have for sale my very much treasured Yamaha BB1200. Looking good for a 34 year old bass, I'm sure you'll agree! You often see these for sale altered/upgraded, but this is all original and is a very clean example. I'm only letting this beauty go because I have just bought a BB2000, a bass I've been after for quite a while and need to replenish the much depleted coffers as a result! This is a classic Yamaha thru neck model from their golden age of bass making; played by the likes of Peter Hook, Paul McCartney and even the bloke from Chas and Dave! Often described as the "P bass on steroids," it's a tone monster that oozes quality; wonderfully built, with five piece laminated thru neck, solid as a rock. I've had it for almost four years; it's been well gigged up and down the land but has been well looked after. Cosmetically, it's in great shape, but for a few small lacquer dings here and there and a small surface crack in the lacquer around the jack socket - I've tried to highlight all of these in the pics. Comes with a Ritter hard case, as seen in the pics. Also includes a set of Schaller strap locks, which I forgot to mention earlier. Based in Liverpool. Postage within UK no problem, will even deliver personally within reason. Did you use this with the Kate Bush band? I'd love to give it a spin on Breathing and Babooshka Always put off by maple boards on fretless but this looks amazing. i reckon it would sound amazing with flats on too (I'm not the biggest fan of flats but with the right bass they can be perfect!) I'm not in the market to buy unfortunately but good luck with the sale, it's a lovely thing

That must've been Strider? Yeah, Mark is a top bloke. He's got a nice little studio in Bootle, done a couple of sessions for him.

I don't think you'll have any problems selling it tez. A true classic.
