Hello all With very heavy heart, I'm putting this rare Musicman beauty up for sale. It either stays in its gig bag under the stairs, or I sell it and my kids get to eat and bills get paid - you know how it is... Anyway, this dates from 1993 and is very rare. I've been led to believe that there were only 35 basses made by EBMM across the range in this colour scheme (trans white/tort guard) - the so called Mary Kaye finish. It's an interesting one in that it actually looks more pinky cream coloured up close, but in the pics it's very white. It tends to change depending on the light, a bit like the fiesta red basses you see. I've owned the bass for about six months. It's in pretty decent nick; in particular, the pau ferro board is in excellent shape, as I'm pretty certain the bass has only been used with flatwounds. It's got Roto flatwounds on it at the moment and absolutely sings! Especially up the dusty end. There are a few very minor cosmetic issues worth mentioning, as ever. Typical of a twenty year old bass, there a very tiny marks here and there, such as a few very tiny lacquer dings on the headstock and body. Curiously there is a little bit of yellowing in the finish here and there, in very small patches. This is most noticeable near the socket plate which I've tried to show in the pics. I'm not sure how this has developed or whether it's common with this finish but it's purely cosmetic. The top layer of the tort guard has lifted very slightly in a couple of places around the edge, but nothing to worry about. Finally, the G string machine head tends to vibrate a little bit when playing unplugged, but obviously not an issue when plugged in. I'm looking for £1000 o.n.o for the bass. The bass comes with the Musicman gigbag, as pictured. The bass is in Liverpool. I'd rather not send this bass in the post if I can help it and would much rather it was picked up. I am also prepared to deliver personally as long as it's not too far away and we can come to some arrangement over fuel etc. I'm open to suggestions anyway and postage can be discussed if absolutely necessary. Feel free to come and test drive also

I never had any problems like this with my PSM 200's... Perhaps as others have said, it's a faulty unit

Gig was fantastic! Standing ovation at the end made all the hard work worth it. Watch this space as there may be a tour with this very soon.....
I stuck with her even when it wasn't cool and all my metal/grunge mates were wondering wtf I was listening to.
that's what it's all about mate innit? Yeah, I remember being well freaked out by her when I was a kid lol; the video to Sat in Your Lap, scared me shitless - now I think it's genius!! What quality players she had on her albums too eh? The set is quite varied, a nice mix of tunes in there and there are a few that Maaike (kate) sings on her own at the piano - such as And Dream of Sheep and This Woman's Work. Lovely stuff! I'll pm you the set when I get hold of it mate
-
I haven't got it to hand at the moment Rich, but suffice to say, all the big hits are there (as they have to be in a tribute I suppose) My fave in the set has to be SAT IN YOUR LAP- awesome tune, with so much going on! Other highlights for me are the fretless Giblin tunes like BREATHING and BABOOSHKA. I'm also playing cello on THE MAN WITH THE CHILD IN HIS EYES- which promises to be fun!

Cheers gilmour Sounds pretty good too!

Ok I'm back again lol... As this is in fact a porn thread, I thought one on top of the other might be nice I've got two AH250's here. A Mark V in fabulous condition and an older Mark IV that's seen better days lol (needs looking at by an amp tech really) The older one had the UV ripped out of it by a previous owner, so I made my own out of a triangular strip of wood and a UV LED lighting strip (this has it's own separate power supply - would love to know how to hook it up inside the amp itself but i've not got a clue, best left to the pros)

Hoping so Rich, will give you a shout if we're up Aberdeen way

Hiya Martin Hopefully later in the year mate
-
Couldn't agree with you more Truckstop! Getting involved with this project has really got me into Kate's stuff.
-
Been looking forward to this for a long while and now it's only a week away! If you know your Kate Bush, you'll know I'm gonna be spoilt rotten with this one; fantastic songs with fantastic bass lines and the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall is an amazing venue to play. Our Kate Bush is a dutch girl called Maaike Breijman and does an awesome job, of both the singing and dancing. We're hopefully going to be touring later this year/early next year, so watch this space....
-
Wow, what a result! Keep it natural, definitely I did a re-fin on my Yamaha BB1100s a few weeks back, stripping it back to natural; it's so rewarding to get to this stage (and such a relief lol!) Enjoy the final finishing mate

Hello all Here we have a Shure PSM 200 in ear monitor system for sale, consisting of the P2T TransMixer transmitter, P2R hybrid body-pack receiver, and a set of Shure SE210 sound-isolating earphones, complete with earphone case and a variety of earphone tips in different sizes (rubber, memory foam and triple flange - I've only used a couple of these and the ones I've used have been cleaned) The system is in excellent working order. Shows the typical signs of use here and there; most notably on top of the transmitter, the advisory sticker/label is starting to peel/rip in one corner, couple of tiny scuffs on the belt pack receiver -but obviously these do not detract from the sound at all. I bought the SE210 earphones separately from the rest of the system. These are excellent quality and cancel outside noise very effectively. The sound quality is fantastic from this system and it is particularly useful if you're singing. Also, you don't have to go wireless; you can simply connect a lead straight from the mixer into the belt pack receiver, if you're not moving around much. Here is a useful review of the system: http://www.barryrudo...hurepsm200.html After using the system for a few weeks, I've decided that in ear monitoring isn't really for me (let's face it, it's not for everyone) so it's now up for grabs. These go for 400 quid and above brand new, but I'm looking for £250. I will include postage to UK in this price.
