I started writing a pretty long post countering all this but then i decided it wasnt worth the bother.

I bought an Ashdown combo not long ago and so far im pretty happy with it. Actually considering what i got for my money i'm very happy with it, it sounded better (to my ears) than anything on offer in the same price range, even some that where quite a bit more expensive...

The Soundcountrol in Derby (and whatever it was called before that) allways let people try things no hassle, me and my mates used to go in every weekend and they let us try out pedals, amps, basses/guitars except anything rare. Bearing in mind this was about 5 years ago when i was 15ish and was just with mates so it was pretty obvious we wern't gonna be buying most of the gear that was tryed out. That's all by the by anyway as it is now closed down

I get why you don't want to tell us everything in the book but a general overview would be useful otherwise i think alot of people will write it off as you got lucky or bullshit.

I bought a beautiful natural stingray off Michael, it was exactly as described and came packaged very well. Excellent to do business with and a really nice guy to boot! I'd have no problem buying something from him again.

I bought a blowtorch off someone from here recently. I like it and it does the job i want it too. looking for after seeing what other people say about it it seems to be an aquired taste though.

I bought an MXR Blowtorch from Andy and it is in excellent condition, exactly as described. It arrived quickly and i'd have no problem buying from him again.

I'm not a huge Audioslave fan much prefer Tim in RATM, most "supergroups" are never as good as their original bands though imho.

yeah it was supposed to have the blue line ones. to me they it still sounds good but if i have been sent a cheaper one i obviously want to reclaim some money, or to see if they are quivalent or whatever. and it says made in PRC on the back somewhere (not by it now so cant check exactly where) and i assumed that meant people's republic of china? i know they have started making some over there and as i said it sounds fine, is working fine and as far as i can tell has been put together well. just tryna see why its diffrent? haha

Recently bought an Ashdown EB 15-180 online after testing one out elsewhere. The sound quality is just as good and its the same amp, etc but the speaker is black rather than blue. It was made in PRC and I didnt look to see whether the other one was made in england or china, could the diffrence in colour be to do with where they where made? It sounds great and I am very happy with it either way, its just i want to check I havnt paid more than i should for it?
