5. As ive started buying stuff on here i thought i should make one of these threads

7. thanks for the quick replys
8. I bough this book back when it came out. Good read.
9. I thought there might be a sticky on this but i couldnt find one so sorry if i've been blind and missed it. I was wondering if anyone can recommend some good, realiable, uk based websites to buy bass gear from. Cheers!
10. " Its not available in the UK. " I guess it wouldnt cost to much to get one sent over though. anyway how does this compare to a seymour duncan double back compressor?
11.
Thanks guys. Gotta love this forum ^_^
yeah it is one of the few forums where you get given fact and opinion rather than opinion passed off as fact. Also people actually try to have reasonable discussions rather than just telling people they are wrong
12. I mean more that it's pretty bad compared to my other guitars. After making this thread I did actually go and dig it out and it seems the electrics or input jack has messed up on it somehow as it wont work with an amp now. And I'm not bothered about trying more radical things as it didnt cost me very much so its better i experiment on this than something else.
13. Yes it's the newst model, the ICB300EX available in black and white. I ordered it from america over the internet as even after customs charges it saved me 60 quid. It has a pretty wide range of tone, active pick-ups with boost/cut for treble and bass, volume and you can fade between the pickups. Looks really cool and is pretty light but because of this neck dives, having to buy a mroe sturdy strap is the only problem i've had with it haha. Neck feels great, dead easy to plays, seems well made and came out of the box well set-up. If you want i could list the specs and try and find a better review somewhere for you?
14. The first bass i ever had was a squire p-bass. I never use it anymore for obvious reasons. I dont want to sell it though as its not worth a great deal and as its the first i ever bought itd be kinda nice to keep it. So what I was wondering is what could I do at home, myself, to mod it? Even if it dosn't actually make it a whole lot better id just find it fun and intresting to do. So any suggestions?
15. i cant tell if the people asking for more info are joking or not lol
16. i got one of those for 350 with an ibanez case. really good value for moeny in my opinion.
17. cheers
18. Because of where the strap pegs are positioned and the fact the straps i currently have are locking ones that are chunky on the end i can't use them. I have one strap which i can use but it is a cheap sh*tty fender one and comes off much too easily.. Also because of the shape and (i think) the light body it neckdives quite alot also. What kind of strap would be best suited for what i need? ^you can see one where the body "flicks" at the bottom, the other is on the back at the bottom of the neck (the heel?) on a side note it came strung with elixer strings which i havnt used before, is it just me or do they sound BRIGHT?
19. I think so long as it sounds good and dosnt cause you any pain then you should just play however is easiest for you.
20. I think he played on the tour though. If you look at a chronological list of metallica's albums its the same as reading a list of their best to worst albums.
21. Im not sure which was first cus i learnt all 3 at the same time but all 3 are pretty easy Bombtrack, Know your enemy and Bullet in the head all by Rage Against The Machine. Bombtrack is slightly harder than the other 2 but not much and i used to love playing it. In all RATM tracks its easy to hear the bass in if that is what oyu are struggling with.
22. They want your skuuuuuulls.
23. I agree about the Blink thing. This has made me think how Misfts t-shirts are now a fashion accesory and the vast majority of people wearing them have never heard of them or know one song, normally Die Die My Darling as Metallica covered it. It dosnt affect me so i dont know why it bothers me, it just does haha.
