Hi, any intrest in 5 string trades? I have a made in Korea B5 bas that is upgraded with an Aguilar OBP-3 pre-amp and Warwick tuners, this bass hadn't been used for a long while as I mostly play 4stringers these days, so i had it checked up and set-up by a Luthier last week (frets are leveled, body & neck are oiled and polished & a new battery and D'addario EXL220 nickel strings were installed), so she's ready to go to a new home. I'm looking to trade for a 4 string jazz type bass and if you can wait another week I might be able to ad some cash to the deal as well.. Let me know if you are interested. I've owned the exact same bass (I even think it's the one in my profile picture) and it was an absolute joy to play, beats any similar priced and even more expensive Fenders out there, the B string was tight and well defined and the pickup's had enough output so you didnt need a pre amp. I actually still regret selling it and would buy this in an instant if i had the cash. Price is good as well as these tend to go for 1400-1800Euros when bought new. Somebody is getting a bargain here! GLWTS

Big Price Drop - £350 - Cort A6 Six String
Bassdude BE replied to JuliusGroove's topic in Basses For Sale
Hi, might you be intrested in a trade with a modded Cort GB75? (bass had a professional fret level and the pre amp is removed/bass is wired all passive now) I was looking to trade it for an Ibanez , but this looks like it might be a nice 6 string replacement as well.. She's here and she just plays and sounds amazing! (no to mention the looks) I wasn't sure about going for a 5 string, because not all the 5 strings i've tried in the past felt comfortable to me and i ended up getting rid of them and going back to 4stringers, but now i'm hooked on the 5string, the B string is thunderous and the string spacing is perfect for slap, i love it! Will take her to rehearsal monday morning and report back after that. -

Just got a mail from Thomann that the problem with the bank transfer has finally been sorted, so my 5 string V7 in TSB should be here on wednesday, just in time for our cd release party/gig on thursday. Will report back to you after the gig to let you know how it performed and i will put some pictures up of course. -

Just noticed that there are quite a few B-stock V7's listed at the Thomann site right now (almost all of them are white , with a 30 Euro reduction in price), does this mean that all of those basses were returned by customers or are there other reasons why Thomann would list them as B-stock? Personally i wouldn't worry if there was one listed as B-stock as there's always a chance someone ordered one but then returned it because they didn't like the colour or something and decided to order another one, but as there are already at least 5 listed as B-stock atm , so short after the release date, i'm starting to wonder why people would return them in such high quantities? maybe there's an issue with some of the basses??? Not that would be a big problem as i can still return mine as well (once it get's here as my order was delayed due to some problems with he bank transfer), but still this might be food for thought... -
With all due respect please understand the only thing that is budget about the new Sire MM J bass is the price. If this bass was made in the US or the UK the asking price would be at least three times what Sire is asking. Sire is already offering the higher end version.
I will know soon enough, I hope.. I have two of the Alder/Rosewood/TBS jazzes on order at Thomann right now, both a 4 and a 5 string, Wasn't sure which one to go for and Thomann doesn't mind customers sending stuff back once in a while (especially because I've already spent a small fortune in that place over the last few years...) so i ordered both of them with the intention to try them out, maybe make a little review of them and then keep the one i like most and sent the other one back as i can only afford to keep one.. (The 4 stringer could be a good go to slap-bass i think, but being realistic i have more need for the versatility of a 5'er a.t.m., so if the 5 string feels and sounds good and if the B string is as tight as Jauqo says , then that will be probably the one i keep.) I'll report back as soon as I've tried them out. -

Seems like MM & Fender are done doing business together (found this on the website of some local music stores), could that mean that Sire might also come out with a higher end, more aimed at a pro market signature model if the budget line goes well?? I sure hope so.. For those among you that don't understand German, it says: The last (Fender) Marcus Miller basses are being sold at this moment! -

I really fancy one of these as well, atm i'm looking to trade in my brand new tc electronic BG250-208 combo for one of these as me and my band do a lot of busking and the Roland bass cube RX i used to use for this was lacking the power to keep up with the guitar , saxophone and percussion so i got rid of that amp. If you would be intrested in a trade with my 2 months old bg250-208 (+ cash your way of course) please let me know. -
i've got a warwick RB shortscale up for trade, bought new from Thomann just 2 months ago. Looking for a trade because my big hands can't adjust to the short scale. it's this one: http://www.thomann.d...e_bk_aktive.htm Is that of any intrest to you?

SOLD****Genz Benz contour 500 210 Combo****SOLD
Bassdude BE replied to fender29's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
I used to own one of these as well, got it cheap as a B-stock item from GAK, best deal i ever made, great sounding combo with loads of clean headroom, really miss it, only got rid of it because i needed something more lightweight. i now have a lightweight 112 combo, but the Genz Benz sounded better tho.. GLWTS! -

Had this up here before, but had it withdrawn because she just sounds an plays so good that i couldn't bring myself to letting her go, but as it turns out i will be travelling through Europe for the next few months and i now have my eye on a short scale bass as that will be easier to take with me on the road, so this baby has to go to fund my new purchase.
