I guess it's official, this is must be dreambass! it has all the features i want and it looks killer on top of that. must resist temptation.... aah who am i kidding i can't afford that...would sell a kidney for it tho...anyone needs a young and near mint kidney?? + I can throw a Jackson WRMG gu*t*r to the deal as well...
3. Hi bud, Normally you should be able to ship overseas with DPD for around 30pounds (that's uninsured tho), bought several basses in the U.K. an rarely had to pay more than that. If you're willing to ship to Belgium and if you can do this at a fair price i'm definately intrested in buying this bass , i could really use a decent but cheap workhorse like this at the moment as i still have to wait a few weeks for my custom build fretless to be finished and i already sold my old bass, so i'm without a bass at the moment and it's killing me... I can send payment through paypal immediately if you decide to sell it to me. Let me know if you're intrested, you have PM btw.
4. How does the Zon keep in tune with that tremelo? I've had some bad expieriences with floyd rose systems on g**t*r's in the past (it took for ever to get them set-up right and once in tune they went out of tune real fast) and i was wondering if this causes any problems on a bass as well.

6. I know, i'd love one of these as well, where oh where can i find another 500GBP...
7. OH NO! GAS-ATTACK!!! I've been dreaming of owning one of these since i first discovered Marleaux basses... Too bad it's just a tad too expensive for my taste or i would be all over this one..
8.
First dibs on the TRB please Nik
If Murphy doesn't take it i'm definately intrested as well.
9. I must have a very bad taste then ,because i kinda like it (for a <150GBP cheap squier bass) but then again i've started out as a metal/punkrock dude,so that might be the reason for my bad taste...
10. Hi, i'm selling/trading a Jackson warrior guitar, recently revised , checked and set-up by the local guitar shop. It has an EMG-HZ in the neck position and an EMG89 (solo) in the bridge it also has a floyd rose wich has been locked with 5 new springs . link to more detailed pictures: https://picasaweb.google.com/114784379631091607043/JacksonWRMG# Price is 290GBP or best offer, but i can give some extra disount for basschatters. I got this from our ex-guitarist who gave me this because he still owes me a serious amount of cash, but i never use it as i'm a bass player, so trade (with cash either way possible) with a cheap bass (4 string / 5string , fretted of lined fretless) is definately an option! pick-up/testing can be done in Antwerp/ Belgium, can be posted at buyers cost (+-25GBP). grtz

14.
any love for a 2eq ray? black black maple
Is it a 5 string? otherwise i haveto say that i'm not that intrested in another 4string stingray as i already get a "near perfect stingray sound" from my thumb sometimes (IF i manage to find the right EQ setting) and i also feel the thumb offers a bigger variety in sounds than the stingray that i used to have. (At the moment i'm also thinking about another offer concerning a Marleaux consat 5 lined fretless vs the thumb+ cash, sounds temping, but i don't know yet if i will be able to pay for that...) thanks for the offer, Don.
15. Better pictures added, please check this link for full size pictures: https://picasaweb.go...091607043/Thumb#
16. BUMP topic updated, trade options added, will ad better pictures later this week (need some daylight for that)
17.
That bass is basically the original Ned Steinburgher design. I've got a '98 NS2000-4 which was the next gen shape... Actually apart from a slightly more slender horn it's the same. Mine has twin soap bars rather than the PJ set up. It is really beautifully made and will set-up faultlessly through all three octaves. I can arpeggio chords at the 21st fret and it sings with perfect intonation. Mine is as heavy as sin. At this price it's a proper top drawer instrument for sod all. It will also take significant upgrading. The pre-amps in those basses were extremely good and really enjoy being hopped up to 18v from the 9v. The bridge isn't quite as good as a US model but Spector will sell you the US brass bridge which drops straight in. The machine heads are Korean ones...They're fine but not quite Grovers but the build, the wood and so on is fabulous. Sonically It'll stand in the same room as a Warwick Streamer Stage 1
Darn, now i want one!!!...
18. Hi, i've recently found out that i'm more comfortable playing a 5 string and therefore would like to replace my 4 string thumb with a similar 5 string. I'm looking for trades ( + cash either way is possible) and will consider both fretted and fretless basses as i'm looking to buy/trade one of each. Considering the recent upgrades (see below) i would set the trade-value of the thumb around 750GBP , cash price would be => NOW 720 GBP !!! wich seems reasonable as i've already been offered that much for the bass the last time it was for sale. possible trades are : - the thumb for a fretted or fretless corvette + cash my way - a high end 5 string warwick for the thumb + cash your way - a fretted AND a fretless corvette for the thumb + cash your way - might also consider other offers, w.h.y.g??? Now for some more info about the bass: The Thumb has been fitted with a brand new battery compartment , jack & pre-amp wiring. i also added a brand new set of Gotoh Res-o-Lite tuners in black chrome (value >100GBP!) and new Dunlop recessed straplocks. This bass was made in '98 and is one of the last German custom shop basses with the slim profile three piece wenge neck and (striped) Bubinga body, the bass looks absolutely mint and is therefore a rare collectors item AND a real players bass all in one. It has the new MEC 3 band active pre-amp, with active/passive push/pull switch and has a huge range of tones suited for almost any kind of music! (I myself found the bass to sound absolutely killer in passive mode combined with a tube amp! ) I've invested a decent amount of cash in new parts for this bass over the last few months and it's no doubt the best sounding bass i've ever owned (and i've had plenty...) so i'm not letting this go for a stupid low price, but reasonable offers are welcome. I will ad a (new) spare can of Warwick wax to the deal as well as a premium line Warwick gigbag and a spare set of 45-105 EB strings. Also i have a modified Jackson hradcase wich i will ad to the deal. specifications: body: striped bubinga neck: three piece wenge neck fretboard: wenge frets: bellbrass tuners: brand new (!) Gotoh Res-o-Lite tuners (only 35grams each, these really reduce the neck dive!) pre-amp: MEC 3-band EQ with active/passive push/pull switch pick-up's: MEC J/J straplocks: brand new (!) Dunlop recessed straplocks extra's: Warwick premium line gigbag / Can of Warwick wax lots of detailed pictures of the thumb and parts can be found here: https://picasaweb.go...091607043/Thumb# Any questions, please ask! I will ship worldwide, here in Belgium courier services are still reasonably cheap, so i can probably make a good price for shipping. shipping withing EU (UK) will cost between 25-40GBP depending on your location. I can ship to the U.S. at a starting rate of 90GBP, please send me an email if you want an accurate shipping quote for your location. kind regards, Peace & Grooves, Don.
19. Thanks for all the kind words guys, i'm very happy with all the trades that i've done here so far and all the great gear i was able to find /try /buy through BC, but all the great advice , tips and information about music theory ,playing technique, achieving your personal sound and bass-gear in general that i gained here were at least worth a million times that, so many thanks to all of you fellow BC'ers! ps: found some more feedback that accidentely got misplaced: http://basschat.co.u...6083-rc4-pedal/

21.
Hello, thanks for the interest but if possible I am hoping for a trade without top up required on my part. Can see that you need some $$$ for your current build so understand that a straight trade is not an option.
No problem, good luck with the sale/trade!
